In today's era of increasingly prosperous picture reading,it is a valuable topic to put lu xun's novels and images together,explore the mutual relationship between them,and study the influence of illustrations on text expression and their independent artistic value.Painter of lu xun's novel illustrations,Ding Cong according to its good at comic irony of lu xun's stories as a way of "shout" "hesitation" and "new stories" of all the novels draw illustrations,paintings of lu xun's novels cover comprehensive,style is unique,has not yet system research.This paper is divided into four chapters from four aspects: ding cong's life experience and artistic creation,the relationship between lu xun's novels and ding cong's illustrations,the artistic characteristics of ding cong's illustrations,and the significance of ding cong's interpretation of images in lu xun's novels.The first chapter analyzes ding cong's life experience and explores its influence on his artistic creation.Ding cong was actively involved in various social activities related to the Anti-Japanese War in his youth,and his rich social experience had a great influence on his early creation.As a result,most of his paintings in his youth were closely related to current events,which reflected strong contemporaneity.During the cultural revolution,he turned his attention to the classic works of lu xun,MAO dun,ba jin and other writers,created illustrations for them,explored the mutual integration of art and literature,and reflected a certain artistic pursuit.After the cultural revolution,there was a short period of stagnation in ding cong's artistic creation.In 1988,ding cong began to contribute to the comic column of dushu magazine.After that,ding cong's comic creation once again focused his eyes on the social reality.However,his strokes were more sophisticated,and his skills in line and composition were more mature.At the same time,the first chapter also put all the illustrations ding cong drew for lu xun's novels into the overall framework of his artistic creation to consider,understand the creation background and overall style of these illustrations,so as to lay a good foundation for the following chapters of research.In the second chapter,the text and illustrations of Shouting,hesitation and new stories are compared with each other.Ding cong's illustrations are mainly used as the figures in the novel by means of facial close-up and figure drawing.The detailed description of facial features enables readers to feel the complex and subtle psychological activities behind the characters through their expressions,while the general outline of the figure's back shows the figure's body and charm through smooth lines,which helps readers to shape the overall cognition of the characters in the text.In addition,the instantaneous scenes shown in the illustrations are often the part of intense conflicts in the novel,which is of great help to readers' understanding of the novel.The third chapter begins to analyze the characteristics of ding cong's cartoon illustrations in terms of lines,tones and details.The smooth and harmonious lines add warmth to the picture,which is different from the cold style of lu xun's works,which is also related to ding cong's painting style.The tone of his paintings is mainly dark,grey and black,which is in line with the depressing and depressing atmosphere created in lu xun's novels and truly represents the environment described in the novels.In addition,ding cong's illustrations are mainly realistic,with exaggeration in details.Exaggeration and distortion are closely connected with the ideas of the novel,which is helpful to show the satiric techniques in the novel and help readers feel the style of lu xun's novels.The fourth chapter is about the influence of the illustrated works of lu xun's novels by ding cong after publication and the need to think about the significance of the publication of these illustrations.
