Research On The Playing Style Of The Piano Adaptation "Butterfly And Flower"

Professor Wang Jianzhong(1933-2016)was a famous Chinese composer and pianist.He devoted himself to the development of Chinese piano music art,and had created a large number of high-quality works on piano music.“Die Lian Hua” was adapted from Suzhou Ping tan,which is an ancient musical art in Chinese history.“Die Lian Hua” is the last piano adaptation from Professor Wang Jianzhong.The piano adaptation “Die Lian Hua”is a classic case of Professor Wang Jianzhong.He combined Western composition techniques with traditional Chinese folk music,and used the multi-segment structure of Chinese national music.In this study of form structure,expression of harmony and the characteristics of rhythm,the report focus on the adaptation of piano music with Chinese traditional pentatonic scale by using the Western composition techniques.And it also explores the understanding and expression of the classic case “Die Lian Hua” on folk music style.And then the article analyses the key of playing clavier and timbre,the using of piano Pedal and phrase within the practice.At last,it explores the performance of “pingtan”,which has traditional singing methods and folk instrumental music by using piano performing techniques in the aspect of imitation.Suzhou Pingtan is a precious treasure of Chinese folk music.The report aims to develop the performance style of “Die Lian Hua” to find a suitable performing technique.In this way,the power of piano's musical expression could hopefully be enhanced.The research result will have significant effect on the piano performance for pianists.
