The Application Research Of Semantic Translation And Communicative Translation In Documentary Literature Translation

With the rapid development of China's economy and society,the literary works related to the real lives are constantly appearing.These works are based on real people and real things,and have certain fictionality,these works are highly based on the real things in the life,it's had certain fictitionality,but always maintains the authenticities which reflect the community of real people and real things.Of course,the documentary writings is a stylistics that have a both the literary characters and reportable features.It is based on real people in real life and real events in the history,but it is presented by means of literary expression.Documentary writing is a good remedy for the shortcomings of the lack of wonderful expressing style in news report works,It also makes up for the shortcomings of literary works that are too virtual and lack of authenticity.Can attract readers to pay attention to the facts and trigger the reader's thinking.Since the founding of New China,especially since the reform and opening up,many documentary writings works depicting real people have had a tremendous impact on society.For the translator,as far as possible on the basis of faithful original text,how to be excellent Chinese documentary writing successfully translate to Uyghur language,In addition to the information in the works that accurately convey the original language,how to make the Uyghur readers appreciate the aesthetic feelings of the original works is a big challenge.Although many documentary writing works have been translated in recent years,but so far,there is a lack of systematic research on the translation of documentary writing in Uyghur translation field,Therefore,it is necessary and vital to study the translation of documentary writings.This paper takes the Uyghur translation of the Liang jia he as an example,based on the semantic translation and communicative translation theory of Peter Newmark,this paper probes into the application of Uyghur language translation of documentary writing works under the guidance of semantic translation and communicative translation theory.The author finds that semantic translation is mainly used to maintain the literary style of the original text,and it is faith to the original semantics convey the information objectively,The Communicative translation mainly uses to deal with the differences in Uyghur language and Chinese expression habits and improve the infectivity of the translation language,it also dealing with the grammatical structure and cultural differences during the translate,and makes the translation more easily understood and acceptable by Uyghur readers.The whole paper is made up of four parts,respectively,Introduction,Concept Research,Translation Research,Conclusion and Appendix.In the introduction part,the reasons for selecting the subject and research significance are briefly discussed.There is also a simple comment of researchers on semantic translation and communicative translation.Furthermore,there is a simple introduction to the research methodology of the paper,followed by an illustration of the transcription symbols used in the paper,the process of reorganizing corpus and the author's translation of the missing part of the original text.Chapter Two is about semantic and communicative translation,introducing the definition of semantic translation and communicative translation and the differences between semantic translation and communicative translation respectivelyChapter Three is an analysis on the text type of "Liangjiahe Village".This chapter mainly defines documentary literature and describes the research condition of documentary literature.It introduces the characteristics of documentary literary translation and the case of"Liangjiahe Village",and briefs on the documentary literary work,"Liangjiahe River.Chapter Four is an analysis on the application of semantic translation and communicative translation to this case.First of all,this chapter analyzes the practicality of semantic and communicative translation in this case,followed by research on lexical translation guided by semantic and communicative translation.The author combines the example of "Liangjiahe Village",and sorts out 11 translation methods applied to word translation from the translation of "Liangjiahe Village",which include amplification,omission,extension of word meaning,semantic concretization and abstraction.It also starts from the opposite side,and tries to find out problems with colocation,word selection,emotive meaning of words,parallel and repeated word translation,lexical gap and annotated translation.Afterwards,there is a study on the translation of special words in "Liangjiahe Village",which includes the strategies of translating dialect words,words with unique historical background,cultural words,words with special meaning and idioms.The third section of Chapter Four is about the strategies of syntax guided by semantic and communicative translation.This chapter combines the syntax in"Liangjiahe River"and summarizes three methods of syntactic translation,mainly,splitting method,combining method and omission method.There is a detailed analysis and research on each translation method.The fifth section of Chapter Four is a study on the strategies of translating rhetoric devices guided by semantic and communicative translation.Literariness is one of the main characteristics of documentary literature.The fifth section of Chapter Four discusses problems with rhetoric translation in "Liangjiahe Village".Since a lot of rhetoric devices are used in the book,they are divided into three categories while being studied.The first category is the direct translation of rhetoric devices in the original text.The second category reserves part of the rhetorical devices,while the remaining part is revised appropriately.The third category is to express with appropriate rhetorical devices in translation while there are no rhetorical devices in the original text.Chapter Five analyzes the mistranslation and revision plans in the book from the perspectives of semantic and communicative translation.The author believes that overall,the translation of "Liangjiahe Village"is quite successful.The translator has made great pains in terms of content expression,loyalty to the original text or the expression of literary features,so as to have successfully translated the book.Since"Liangjiahe River" is translated for radio announcements,the time is quite pressing.More or less,there would be some problems in translation.The author analyzes and studies some mistranslations in "Liangjiahe Village"and proposes some revision plans.
