The purpose of this paper is to further understand the application of traditional Chinese opera music elements in contemporary music creation through the study of Chen Musheng's symphony The Peony Garden·Heaven By analyzing the form of music and other aspects of works,it is pointed out that Chinese traditional music can not only maintain its original characteristics but also be interpreted in a more diversified way in contemporary music creation,which is particularly important for Chinese composers to find their own national voice in the world.
