This article focuses on the appreciation of The Scenery of Nine Snow Mountains byHuang Gongwang,and for re-examination,put it into the grand view of snow-coveredlandscape works since Dynasty Tang and Song.To be more specific,this article makestextual researches on the overall situation of this work from the angles of authenticityresearch,analysis of creative process,official seal,spread of this work,preface andpostscript analyzing and so on.Then,further analyze its features and creative intention fromthe angles of location management,writing characteristic and artistic conception.Ultimately,this article vertically compares the similarit:ies and differences between worksby Huang Gongwang and works by his predecessors and futurities with the same theme.Theauthor thinks Huang Gongwang learned more in the aspects of layout and ink renderingtechniques in the snow-covered landscape works created by Wang Wei,Ju Ran,Fan Kuanand other artists.At the same time,Huang Gongwang's works are "breaking fresh ground,while hard to follow",presenting his love for wash painting and poet,and his willingness ofnot to seek fame and wealth,which establishes a unique wash painting language of HuangGongwang,and also conveys his characteristics of innocence and simplicity.That is called"unprecedented in technique of writing,and infinite in philosophic interest".
