Analysis Of The Importance Of Visual Design In Picture Books

"Picture book" is the art of graphic narrative.books is the main form and carrier of the "picture book".The art work of the book design will directly affect the reader's reading experience.Although the "picture book" was just accepted in China,the art form of this book has been popular between children and parents.The major publishers are rushing to introduce foreign excellent picture books,which led to a large number of picture books which has low quality appearing on the market.This thesis mainly focuses on the picture book,this special book art form,with the the main entry point——book design,analyzes the physical book elements of the picture book and the graphic layout and other content information,at the same time,compare the original picture book in China and excellent picture books around world,To sum up problems in the development of picture books in China,further clarify the theme,and propose improved methods and new industry standards for the design of Chinese original picture books.The main body of this paper is divided into three parts.The first part is the overall elaboration of the design elements involved in the book design field.The second part presents the problems of Chinese original picture books in recent years,including targeting China.The analysis of the book form itself and the parallel comparison analysis of the Chinese imported picture book design and the export picture book design,Though this to found the needs for improvement in the current picture book design in China.The third part attempts to find the corresponding solution according to the questions and to look forward the design direction of the original Chinese original picture book.
