An Analysis Of The Line And Volume Compression In Ancient Chinese Stone Carving Modeling

The extensive use of line language is one of the major artistic features of ancient Chinese stone carvings.Through the analysis of classical examples of ancient Chinese stone carvings,this paper illustrates that there is a close relationship between the use of lines instone carvings and the sculpting techniques of volume compression.This paper enumerates the stone carving inscription of the use of a variety of common volume compression way,and through the analysis of the formation of thought the compressed volume modelling technique and carved stone material properties,the content of the sculpture and functional,with the model line drawing of the similarity of the three factors,and the modelling technique has not visually realistic pursuit,the pursuit of the rule of"spirit likeness" characteristics.In view of the application mode of volume compression summarized above,this paper summarizes four main factors that influence the application mode of volume compression in stone carving,including material and technology,the identity and function of carving content,the viewing Angle of audience,traditional cultural thoughts and aesthetic concepts.Through the exploration and analysis of the volume compression modeling method inancient Chinese stone inscriptions,it is found that the carving technique reflects the modeling logic and artistic attitude of traditional stone carving,which has important guiding significance for sculpture creation.The use of traditional sculptural techniques usually serves the central theme of sculpture,with details obeying the whole.Faced with the attitude of restricting traditional stone carvings,it is in line with the "harmonybetween man and nature" and guides us to how to respect and rationally use the law to create sculptures.Through the analysis of the modeling means,it can be seen that the author of the traditional sculpture fully exerts its own action in the engraving process,and truly engraves it with heart.We should pay more attention to our own thinking and thinking when we create,and express ourselves from the heart.Ultimately guiding our culpture creation by focusing on and learning traditional sculptures.
