| The character documentary focuses on the expression of "character",with "people" as the core,showing real people in the real environment,recording the most realistic life state and emotional expression.The documentary "China Good Man Li Yuli”uses techniques of objective and documentary expression and follows the methods of filming and interviewing to show the perseverance of retired teacher Li Yuli,who has been volunteering to help left-behind children for more than 10 years.Although the protagonist in the film is only one teacher,Li Yuli,he is one epitome of the many retired teachers in China.At the same time,he is also concerned with the basic education of rural China and the healthy development of left-behind children in China.The exhibition of this documentary shows the dilemma faced by such a group of retired teachers on the road of caring for basic education,and the honors they have gained in the process.It truly and objectively express what Li Yuli thinks and feels,reflecting the current reality of society.This article takes the documentary "China Good Man" Li Yuli as the research object.From the perspective of character documentary,this paper analyzes and interprets the narrative methods and audio-visual language skills,also combined with author’s own practical experience in this process to summarize and think deeply.The first chapter explains author’s grasp of the theme in early stage of creation.The second chapter uses the ordinary narrative perspective and the umbrella-like narrative structure to construct the whole film.At the same time,it uses theory of drama conflict and suspense to analyze film’s attraction.The third chapter takes the documentary as an example to systematically expound the application of audiovisual language.The fourth chapter summarizes and reflects on the creation of this documentary,and get experience and lessons.The author hopes this documentary production and essay writing can combine theoretical knowledge and practice to form own unique insights. |
