With the growing comprehensive strength of China and more frequent exchanges between China and other countries,a lot of international students choose to study in China.Therefore,it is of great importance to research the intercultural adaptation of overseas students.As one of the important countries along the Belt and Road,Myanmar also has many students studying in China every year.However,compared with other countries,Myanmar has a special geographical location and a small number of overseas students.When encountering cultural differences in study and life,it is worth paying attention to what kind of cross-cultural adaptation characteristics high-level Chinese learners have.In this study,on the basis of the previous studies of cross-cultural adaptation,according to the real situation of Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Myanmar in China,combining the contents of WeChat moments and interviews,a series of studies have been conducted on Myanmar students’ cross-cultural adaptation,which tends to explore this group’s cross-cultural adaptation status and difficulties,and put forward corresponding suggestions.The thesis has four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction that mainly describes the research background,purposes,meanings,and methods of the Chinese expression in WeChat moments of Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Myanmar.And then this part describes the related research and innovative points of the current cross-cultural research,which is mainly about the dynamics of foreign and domestic cross-cultural studies.And it also talks about the role of WeChat in the learning process of Myanmar students.At the same time,the innovation points of this study which are unique in terms of research objects,system and breadth are described.Chapter two is the key point of this research.Through questionnaires and interviews,the author explored the intercultural adaptation process of Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Myanmar in China deeply,and further studied the construction of moments’corpus,so as to summarize the characteristics of these students in different stages.In addition,a brief survey is made on the social support of overseas students in China,and the corresponding Chinese expressions in WeChat moments are used to assist the analysis,providing rich corpus support for the cross-cultural adaptation research.The author analyzed the specific text information in the third chapter through analyzing the moments’corpus of high-level Chinese learners.It explored whether there were errors in the Chinese expressions of moments during the period of cross-cultural adaptation,analyzed the reasons for the errors and proposed corresponding solutions,so as to analyze the main language features of Chinese expressions in moments.Chapter four is the final part.This part is the summary of the research,which is mainly describes gains and deficiencies in the cross-cultural adaptation for Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from MyanmarThe research shows that there are some problems in the process of adaptation of social culture and academic culture for Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Myanmar.But the general situation is good.There is no obvious psychological discomfort,and this group’s adaptability is strong.In the process of social and cultural adaptation,there are some difficulties in the aspect of lifestyle,such as the adaptation of life rhythm,the adaptation of Chinese wine culture,the adaptation of China’s population density,and the adaptation of extreme weather-haze;difficulties in interpersonal communication include understanding Chinese dialects or accents and dealing with leaders;the difficulties in service aspect is the service attitude of restaurant and the poor environment of the public toilet.In the process of academic culture adaptation,the main problems are the difficulty of graduation thesis,the difficulty of understanding academic lectures,and the small number of Chinese friends.In the face of cross-cultural adaptation,Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Myanmar are more inclined to turn to the nationals and other foreign classmates.Besides,the expression frequency of Chinese in WeChat moments of Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages from Myanmar is high.The content has the characteristics of frequent network words,rich theme types and high usage rate of idioms.However,there are some errors in Chinese expression,most of which are typos.
