With the rapid development of Chinese teaching at home and abroad,teachers have played an important role in the development of Chinese teaching.Many scholars have conducted researches in the quality and cultivation of Chinese teachers.Under the background of “Chinese language craze”,the era has given the Chinese teachers an extraordinary mission.Many scholars have conducted research on the quality and cultivation of Chinese language teachers,combined with the policies and regulations of the Chinese language in recent years,the demand of Chinese teachers at home and abroad has increased,therefore,the quality of their training should be put onto a higher level.As a key part in Chinese language teaching,the basic knowledge of Chinese characters should be listed as one of the top goals for academic studies.Besides this,Chinese teachers should have a good command of Chinese characters before they start their career.Aimed at Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages in Chongqing,this thesis does researches in the basic knowledge of Chinese characters through questionnaires,and put forward some suggestions.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is an introduction which mainly introduces the selection of the topic,research significance,research ideas and methods,discusses Master of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages and basic knowledge of Chinese characters.The second part is about the idea and instructions of that questionnaire.The purpose of the survey,the target of the survey,the composition of the questionnaire,and the hand-out and take-back of the questionnaire is introduced in this thesis.The design ideas of each part are systematically explained.The third part is the analysis of the survey results.Firstly,according to the basic information of the surveyed subjects,similar side components,similar Chinese characters recognition,and traditional Chinese characters,the results of the questionnaire survey are analyzed and explained briefly.Afterwards,the results of the investigation were combined with the conclusions of the analysis.Those master students conduct an overall assessment of the knowledge level of Chinese characters and discover some problems.The fourth part mainly combines the findings of the survey with the conclusions of the analysis to put forward the evaluation standard of the knowledge level of the Chinese ontology knowledge.After that,it briefly analyzes the reasons that affect the knowledge of Chinese characters in those students.It mainly talks about the Chinese character itself,the professional training program on the importance of Chinese basic knowledge and the students' attitudes on the knowledge.Based on the Influence of "The Belt and Road" initiative to Chinese teaching,the fifth part puts forward some suggestions for the improvement of Chinese basic knowledge for those students.From the conclusions of the third and fourth sections,the author starts from the perspectives of perfecting the examination evaluation system,establishing knowledge of the Chinese basic knowledge as an important part of the Chinese language ability of Chinese teachers for Chinese as a second language,and optimizing training programs.
