Socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era,and the reality of "time and space compression" has rushed to the front of "practice"."Popular culture" as a new entry point for reality research needs to be carried out in the context of a new era.In the field of foreign Marxism, the academic-related research has paid more attention to its post-modern positions, viewpoints and methods, and there is rarely a clear interpretation of the theoretical logic of its popular culture criticism. The research topic of this thesis is Jameson's post-modern mass culture critique. The purpose of the research is to try to get closer to reality and gain inspiration on the basis of clarifying the theory of "breaking" and "standing".The research shows that the path dependence of Jameson's late capitalist critique directly points to the critique of mass culture. He introduces the historical vision of Marxist philosophy into the post-modern mass culture critique, and then breaks the bureaucratic controversy of contemporary culture and then opens a new game. However,it is unrealistic for Jameson's post-modern mass culture critique to replace the theoretical construction of total social critique with a single cultural critique. It deviates from the holistic view of Marx's social critique theory and does not break away from the quagmire of post-modern "deconstruction".This paper takes the focus perspective method,re-explains Jameson's critical theory of popular culture in the perspective of philosophy, and puts it into the history of Marxism development and Western thought,in order to obtain realistic revelation in both positive and negative aspects.
