| China is full of wind and clouds in the 20th century.From the 1911 Revolution,the May 4th Movement,the Agrarian Revolution,the War of Resistance Against Japan and the War of Liberation to the socialist construction,the Cultural Revolution,the reform and opening-up after the founding of the People’s Republic of China,Ding Ling,as a writer,has the privilege to witness and participate in the trick or mutation of history.From youth to imprisoument in Nanjing,and breaking through the enclosure throw into the embrace of revolution;From writing politics to falling into the swirl of sectarian struggle,a miscarriage of justice in ten years,or was criticized by the world after her resurrection,Ding Ling,s life has always been connected with the history of China in the 20th century and with the flesh and blood of politics.So the biography of the writer,who has been in the literary arena since the beginning of the 20th century,developed at the beginning of the development of modem biography.More than fifty biographical traditions,large and small,have been carefully sorted out.Ding Ling’s close relationship with history and politics is recorded in the biographical writings of modem Chinese women writers in a large number,a complete variety and a wide range of perspectives.It is a new challenge to find a common research theme in these complicated biographies,because the previous scholars focused on the analysis of Ding Ling’s works,and the classification and research of her biography has become a blank that needs to be filled urgently.From the perspective of narratology,this paper combs Ding Ling’s biography in different periods along the context of time development,trying to explore the different characteristics of Ding Ling’s biographical narrative in each period,so as to survey the change and innovation of Ding Ling’s biographical narrative mode in the whole historical process.This paper is divided into three parts:the prefaee,the body and the eonclusion.The preface mainly defines the scope of the research object of this article,combs relevant Ding Ling’s biography according to the time clue,and summarizes its typicality and characteristics.On the basis of grasping the existing biographical research of Ding Ling,this paper analyses the current research situation and seeks for the research gaps that need to be filled urgently,thus demonstrating the research value and meaning of this paper.The main body is divided into three chapters according to different time stages.Chapter 1 chooses two biographies with great influence in the 1930s:<Ding Ling>by Shen Congwen and<Ding Ling-Women Soldiers in New China>by Riff,and tries to grasp their respective characteristics.Starting from the different identity standpoints of the two biographers,this paper discusses the different influences of "literati writing" and "political writing" on Ding Ling’s biography narrative style in the 1930s.In making specific discussions,the author combines the background of the times in order to highlight their respective interests and political colors as an overview of Ding Ling’s biography creation in the 1930s.Chapter Two focuses on Ding Ling’s Biography Publications in the Eighties and Nineties.Influenced by the ideological emancipation and the rise of scar literature after the Cultural Revolution,Ding Ling’s biography at this time emerged from a variety of novel perspectives.The interpretation of Ding Ling’s life is different from that of the heir herself to those from overseas.The analysis of the same historical event also produces many strange viewpoints that have never been seen before due to the differences in angles.There are ways of writing Ding Ling’s poems in montage,such as Zong Cheng’s<Storm Life-Ding Ling Biography>and Zhou Liangpei,s<Ding Ling Biography>.There are also works that break away from historical limitations and take Ding Ling as an example to discuss the fate of intellectuals in the whole historical process,such as<Ding Ling and Chinese Comnumist Literature>by Zhou Fenna,or use feminist perspective to describe Ding Ling.These literary creations with the meaning of"fault" constitute the object of the second chapter of this paper.Chapter three mainly discusses Ding Ling’s biography since the new century,including her family biography after rehabilitate,and the academic criticism of Ding Ling’s people and her literature made by many scholars with the rise of Ding Ling’s research.Ding Ling’s narrative in the new century is different in life and theory because of their different identity,cultural level and research ability.This paper tries to analyze the plain narrative and logical speculative narrative of Ding Ling’s biography.In addition,this paper also moderately analyses the impact of the rapid development of the socialist market economy on Ding Ling biography commercial writing,trying to summarize the characteristics of such narrative,and from the mission of the biography to evaluate and reflect on the commercial narrative.The third section of this chapter mainly chooses two representative works published in 2012:<Graph Text Ding Ling Biography>and<Hawker Ding Ling Biography>to analyze the narrative exploration of Ding Ling Biography in the new century after avoiding the disadvantages of commercial narrative.’Graph text’ avoids the popular road of ’using pictures as assistants’ and the entertainment drawbacks of"using pictures as substitutes for texts" It adopts the narrative mode of paying equal attention to pictures and texts into the historical context and maintains the seriousness and literariness of the biography itself.<Hawker Ding Ling Biography>is inclined to individualized narration.The author tries to create an unprecedented biography of Ding Ling through the interesting reconstruction and associative narration of the title,which gives readers a strong sense of pleasure and spiritual impact.These works together present the pluralistic situation of Ding Ling’s biography writing in the new century.The concluding part reviews the writing context of Ding Ling’s biography again,and discusses the various possibilities of the writer’s biographical narration combining with the characteristics of the 21st century,and gives forward-looking opinions on the writing of Ding Ling,s biography.In this paper,the study of Ding Ling’s narrative evolution process can only be said to be a glimpse of the leopard,which still has many immature views or cliches,but also hope that through the historical observation and the summary of stage characteristics,for the current biography creation to provide a space for self-reflection and new direction of thinking. |
