A Probe Into The Singing Of Berlioz's Vocal Suite "Summer Night"

The controversial French composer Berlioz in the Romantic Period,with the passage of time and the development of history,his works show more and more unique and lasting artistic charm.Known as a romantic genius,he was the founder of French Romantic Title Music.Symphony is an important field of its creation,and the creation of vocal music works is also highlighted,its great creative achievements.In his artistic songs,the vocal suite?Les Nuits d'été? is particularly prominent.The suite consists of six songs,the lyrics are selected from six short poems of the French Romantic poet Theophile Gautier's ?La comédie de la mort?.Berlioz skillfully used the symphonic way of thinking,changed the previous single line,made the divertimento have a rich orchestral language,creatively integrated into the opera color,in the vocal Divertimento brilliant,unique.From the second semester of postgraduate,I began to contact this suite.In order to sing the whole suite at postgraduate concert,after class,Iconducted in-depth research on the group.In the process of learning,it is found that there are few studies on this divertimento in China.Most of the works and papers focus on piano accompaniment and music analysis.There are few studies on the rhyming of French poems and lyrics in singing.So this paper will interparet Berlioz vocal suite?Les Nuits d'été? from the singer's point of view.Hope to provide reference and enlightenment for vocal singers.
