During the postgraduate period, the author,in the mentor's lead, sorted out the history of drama development at home and abroad as well as several relatively mature and influential performance systems that emerged in this process;the author also analyzed the development trend of the current drama and the preference of the audience,in the way of walking into the theatre to watch dramas directed by well-known directors. In the period of my postgraduate studies, the author participated in and watched diversified works of the mentor, such as Romeo and Juliet, the Late Christopher Bean,Peking man.In the final year of graduate study,we chose Thunderstorm,a drama of bourgeois family tragedy with strong feudal color,as a graduation drama.I played one of the characters named Lu Dahai. In order to act this role out,the author read the book and felt the character carefully and observed the surrounding life to get some inspiration often.Meanwhile,In the course of creating and rehearsing the drama, the author began with locating the character by understanding the character Lu Dahai under his era, later tried to reflect the character's inner world by playing the external features. So to speak, the method of entering roles from outside to inside has achieved some results in the process of shaping the role. Thus the author realized that an actor must deeply combine himself with the role for comparison so as to better understand the transition from self to role.In this paper, the author will elaborate and analyze,on the basis of the actual stage character image creation, how to break through oneself and go closely to the role when playing, and will offer some solutions when encountering problems in playing roles.
