Research On Guanxiu's Plastic Art Style

Guan's painting style is different and distinct especially within the golden mean of Chinese traditional art.Although he is a professional painter,his works are not many.Eccentric style of his paintings expands aesthetic cognition of Chinese traditional painting.The spirit,aesthetic interest and creation way of his paintings have far-reaching influence on the subsequent paining practice.Taking the painting"The Sixteen Luo Han" as an example,this paper will analyze the artistic language,aesthetic interest,and impact on later generations,basing on Guan's life experience and living background.Through analyzing of Guan and his paintings,it can be found that the attempt of bringing practice attitude of Zen into his paintings with his nature of mind has far-reaching impact on Chinese traditional paintings.it is necessary for a Chinese Painting major student to make a careful study of Guan's unique painting style.Not only make a study on the basic techniques,but also make a deep study on the attitude of "the nature of mind",and put the attitude into our paintings improving our creation.Break through the image we see,get rid of previous experience and bring new energy into our paintings.
