Research On Animal Concepts In Pre-Qin Documents

This article determines the relationship between animals and humans through the collation of animal-related data in the pre-Qin period in China.On this basis,understand how people think about animals at that time.Specifically,this article is related to research from two aspects.On the one hand,the pre-Qin thinkers' views on animals and the concepts directly reflected in the text.On the other hand,the concept of animals embodied in the process of getting along with people.Finally,in literary works,animals tend to have a relatively fixed meaning.The main content of the first chapter is a few basic questions in the study,including research objects,related books,the intentions.The second chapter first examines the animal concept of the intellectual class.Among them,the focus is on the Confucian animal concept.Confucianism believes that animals play an important role in discovering the subjective value of human beings.Other thinkers also have similar concepts of Confucianism.Secondly,the concept of protecting animals has appeared in the books of the pre-Qin period.Finally,the definition of animal names and animal classification can also reflect the concept of the ancients.The third chapter mainly understands the role of animals through the selection and management of animals in the sacrifice.Animals are also an important part of society at the time.Besides,the animals also help community members identify their social class in which the organization and maintenance of social relations.Animals are also closely related to ancient bureaucracy and food culture.The fourth chapter focuses on the animal images of the pre-Qin literature,including a single animal image and cultural animals.This culturally significant animal goes back to the usual life experience.Later,people often observe animals from a moral perspective,thus moralizing animals.However,in the book of the pre-Qin,no material was found to support this view.In fact,people just associate animal habits with humans.
