The cultural teaching of TCSL always emphasizes the modernization of teaching methods.As a form of multimedia teaching,TCSL TV program has been favored by many overseas Chinese learners for its vividness,convenience and quickiness.It provides a good platform for promoting Chinese language and spreading Chinese culture.Taking the typical representative of Chinese-teaching TV program "Happy Chinese" series as the research object,this dissertation carefully examines the content and form of culture teaching in the program.On the basis of investigation,the dissertation analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the program in cultural teaching by using the general principles of Chinese culture teaching in TCFL.Finally,according to the disadvantages,the author put forward some recommendations accordingly to the TV program.The body of this article is divided into four chapters.Chapter One of this dissertation clarifies some relevant concepts and cultural orientation in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The classification of cultural content and principles of culture teaching in TCFL are also discussed.All of these are to provide a theoretical basis for the study of "Happy Chinese" cultural teaching.In Chapter Two,the author extracts the specific episodes of Happy Chinese in three seasons by the method of systematic sampling,and extracts the cultural content based on the video transliteration of the samples.After that,according to"International Teaching Chinese Materials and Cultural Points Classification Framework(research edition)" of Sun Yat-Sen University,the cultural points in the sample video of Happy Chinese were marked and statistically analyzed.At the end of Chapter Two,the author evaluates the advantages and disadvantages of the program cultural teaching contents under the general principles of culture teaching in TCFL.In Chapter Three,this dissertation abandons the practice that previous studies only talk about the program mode in terms of form,but uses the relevant knowledge of educational technology for reference to examines and analyzes the cultural teaching form of Happy Chinese from the perspective of TV language.According to the specific performance of its picture language,sound language and subtitle language on cultural teaching,combined with the principle of culture teaching in TCFL,this dissertation analyzes the advantages and disadvantages of the program in the form of cultural teaching.In Chapter Four,the author puts forward some suggestions for the Chinese-teaching TV programs in view of the deficiency of cultural teaching contents and forms.This dissertation believes that,in terms of content,the cultural teaching content of the program should pay attention to the balance of the distribution of cultural points as well as the integrity,the appropriateness and stage of cultural teaching as well as the practicality of cultural teaching in each season.In terms of form,the program should pay attention to the diversity of scene settings in cultural teaching to ensure the standardization of sound language and subtitle language.For these considerations,this dissertation also gives some specific suggestions.
