Comparative Study Of TV Chinese Language Teaching Program In China And Japan

With the popularity of TV media, global coverage of satellite TV, television teaching programs has broken the time and space constraints of the traditional classroom and combining teaching and media. It has its own unique advantages to promote the Chinese international education career. There are many similarities on the language, culture and education between the China and Japan, so it is worthy to learn from each other and get some inspiration from each other in Chinese language teaching program. Based on the comparative study of Happy Chinese II that was broadcast on the CCTV-4 and Watching TV to learn Chinese that was broadcast on the NHK-ETV, this paper analyzed the teaching contents, teaching principles and teaching methods of two programs, and investigate the attitude toward the programs and test result of the Chinese learners by questionnaires. After concluding the advantages and disadvantages from the TV Chinese language teaching in China and Japan, this paper has put forward the improvement opinion.
