Distracted driving is an important factor leading to traffic safety,and 60 percent of distracted driving is caused by the use of mobile phones.Previous studies on the driving distraction caused by mobile phone use mainly focus on the driving distraction caused by the use of mobile phone to make calls and text messages.As one of the mobile platforms with the largest social traffic in China,WeChat has gradually replaced the traditional communication functions of mobile phone call and text messaging.However,there are few studies on the driving distraction caused by WeChat.Based on the simulated driving situation,this study explores the driving distraction behavior in WeChat message processing.The study consisted of two experiments.Processing experiment 1 explores WeChat voice message due to manually click this operation to drive in the process of the influence of the main tasks,at the same time in order to validate the message time interval is random and dialogue environment whether can continue to influence on the subjects of driving behavior,study used single factor experimental design within five level subjects to WeChat voice message handling this process,the results found that manually by clicking on this operation to subjects caused a significant impact on driving behavior,and the other two factors did not significantly influence on subjects of driving behavior.Experiment 2 mainly explores the influence of various message processing on the main task of driving in the process of driving.Experiment 2 is divided into experiment 2A and experiment 2B.Experiment 2 a message type and message processing level as independent variable,using 2(voice messages,text messages)x 2(repetitive tasks,task)+baseline within the subjects of experimental design,discusses different message types and task type on the influence of the main task of driving,the results showed that no significant interaction between message types and task type,but the distance measure in the center of the deviating from the vehicle ahead,only task type main effect significantly,and the reconstruction task than repeat task driving behavior of participants have more significant effect.In terms of response time and accuracy,both message types and task types are significant.Compared with voice messages,text messages have a significant negative impact on the main task of driving.Compared with repeated tasks,recreated tasks also have a significant impact on driving tasks.In the paired sample t test of task type and baseline level,there was no significant difference between the repeated task and baseline in the dependent variable index,while there was significant difference between the reconstructed task and baseline in the dependent variable index.Experiment 2B,on the basis of experiment 2A join time stress factors,USES the word reconstruction task,and with 2(message type)x 2(frequency)of the participants in experimental design,the results show that the type of message type and frequency in the center of the deviating from the path distance and reaction time on the significant interaction effect,when the message type is text,high news presented the distance index of frequency was superior to that of low message distance under the present frequency index,when news show low frequency,text messages to deviating from the vehicle ahead than voice message center reaction distance and the damage is more significant.In addition,compared with voice message,text message has a significant negative impact on the accuracy.Based on the results of the three experiments,the following conclusions can be drawn:(1)When processing WeChat voice messages,manual click operation has a signi ficant impact on subjects' driving behaviors.(2)In the case of no time pressure,text message has a more significant impact on the main task of driving than voice message,and retask has a more significant negative impact on the main task of driving than repeated task,but there is no significant interaction between message type and task type.(3)Frequency type and message type had significant interaction on the distance from the center of the vehicle in front and the response time index.Compared with the high-frequency text condition,the subjects in the low-frequency text condition performed poorly in the distance from the center of the vehicle in front.At low frequencies,the negative effects of text messages were more significant than that of voice messages on the subjects' off-center distance and reaction time.The accuracy under the condition of text was significantly lower than that under the condition of speech.
