The Artistic Style And Singing Analysis Of The Song "Meng Jiangnu"

Chinese traditional folk art has been shining brilliantly in modern art through inheritance and innovation for a long time.Music,as a popular media,spreads a series of stories.In the 1990 s,taking one of China's four major love stories--“Meng Jiangnu” as the prototype,Wang Zhixin blended the Chinese opera elements of “lyricism singing with rapid rhythm”,“Yaoban”,Duoban” etc.as well as composing techniques of western music into the traditional Jiangsu folk songs,so as to change the modulation and rhythm characteristics of original Jiangsu folk songs as well as expanding its capacity and range compass.In this way he createad what is now known as the art song “Meng Jiangnu”.This paper mainly studies the creation background,melody composing characteristics,musical form,song emotion deduction,vocal performing analysis and so on of the song “Meng Jiangn”.The intention is to explore the use of opera singing skills in the works,emotional interpretation of a song,the use of singing skills and so on.Vocal music is an abstract art,an art form that conveys feelings and tells stories through sound.The singer must be required to have a full academic analysis of the work,a deep personal understanding,to narrate a dramatic story with a correct vocal method,and to convey the emotion of a song on the premise of having a spiritual resonance with the audience: “either sorrow,or joy,or hate”.This work is prolonged,the narrativity is very strong,full of emotional fluctuation,offers a singer a great extent of personal interpretational freedom,at the same time it's an adaptational work,the development of the work undergoes a long history,the creative techniques is novel,and maintains high research value.Performing of this work is never the less a great challenge.It's necessary to further deepen the understanding of the work through the study of the singing skills of the song thus to enhance performer's singing skills and the ability to handle the work.
