The Use Of Opera Elements In Pipa's New Works In Recent Years (2000-2015)

In ancient and modern times,lute and opera music are regarded as accompaniment.Till the contemporary society,lute and opera integrate with each other and have had a new development.With the social's increasing attention on folk culture,the folk music attracts more concerns.Since 2000,some opera elements have been added in the new lute tunes.The combination of lute tunes with opera have been innovated and developed till now.Compared with the works created before 2000,the genres change from the solo to varieties including concerto and ensemble.The creation ways are also improved from the single adaptation of opera's qupai to the integration and recreation with opera elements.In addition,the composers are changed.Previously,the tunes are mostly adapted and created by performers.Later,the tunes are mainly created by professional composers from professional academies.The numerous changes and developments enrich the contents of lute tunes,especially the works with opera elements.In this paper,I will make a brief analysis on the employment of opera elements in current new lute tunes based on the research of lute tunes with opera elements in different genres(2000-2015).
