Study On The Acquisition Of Chinese Guest Phrases By Foreign Students

This paper uses cognitive linguistics,structural linguistics,cultural linguistics and other theories to define and classify the polite formula.On this basis,it analyzes foreign students' acquisition of the polite formula through questionnaires and interviews.The first chapter is the definition and classification of the polite formula.the polite formula is used to express politeness and etiquette,which is not equivalent to the truth or falseness of facts.Discourse contains more social etiquette elements than emotional elements,which is a language paradigm to achieve the best interpersonal care and ensure harmonious communication.It is suitable for minor events,has obvious stylized tendency and has duality in semantic.From the pragmatic function,it can be divided into six categories:thank,apology,request,refusal,invitation and others.The second chapter designs the questionnaire based on the six categories of the polite formula.From foreign students Chinese language level,understanding of Chinese culture and attitude,the frequency of communication with Chinese people and the length of stay in China,making a statistic and analysis of the foreign students'polite formula acquisition,summarizing the factors which will affect the students'acquisition:overgeneralization of the target language rules,the influence of different types of cultural context,the shortage of teaching and the tolerance of mistakes in communication.The third chapter is the teaching thinking of polite formula.According to the difficulties of foreign students' acquisition,the principles and methods of determining inveracious or sincere expression are provided.Response strategies for typical and indistinguishable contexts are given,At the same time,the author suggests that the teaching of the polite formula should pay attention to hierarchy and interactivity.
