This thesis is based on 17 composers in Wujin and Yanghu counties under the jurisdiction of Changzhou in Qianlong and Jiaqing time(1736-1820)of the Qing Dynasty and inspects the opera ecological environment of the two counties Wujin,Yanghu,the family history,life and the characteristics of the opera activities of composers,and their regional cultural characteristics,in order to compressively and deeply study the family's life and the achievements in the opera of these 17 composers in the Qianjia period and gives this composers an objective and accurate positioning in the history of the opera.This thesis is divided into three parts: introduction,body and conclusion.The introduction part defines the time range,geographical scope and composition of the composers.At the same time,it summarizes the research situation,research results and research trends of the subject at home and abroad,and points out the innovation of this thesis and expectable creative results.The body part is divided into eight chapters.The first chapter is "The Ecological Environment of the Drama of Wujin and Yanghu Opera in the Qianjia Period".This chapter discusses the folk opera activities of Wujin and Yanghu counties in the period of Qianjia and the activities of literati's troupe,and provides the regional background for the opera life and drama activities of Wujin and Yanghu.The second and third chapters mainly study the family history and life of the composers in Wujin and Yanghu in the Qianjia period.These two chapters use the origin as the dividing standard to make a comprehensive and systematic study of the family and life of each composer.The second chapter takes Wujinji composers as the research object,and the third chapter takes Yanghuju composers as the research object.The fourth chapter is "The elements which influence the drama activities in the family history,life of the composers in the Qianjia period".Based on the research of the second and third chapters,this chapter takes Wujin and Yanghu composers as a group,and uses their similar experiences in their life experiences and network of friends and relatives as an entry point to discuss their common life experience and relationship with relatives and friends on their drama activities.The fifth chapter is "The creation,circulation and performance of the opera works of Wujin and Yanghu composers in the Qianjia period".This chapter further studies the opera works of these composers from three aspects,opera creation,circulation and performance,and draws the characteristics of their opera works in terms of creation,circulation and performance.The sixth chapter is "The commentary,concept and opera enjoyment of Wujin,Yanghu composers in the Qianjia period",which takes the evaluation of the opera works by composers themselves or others and the comments of others on their works as breakthrough point,and analyzes and discusses their concept of function,rhetoric and subject matter in the creation of opera and explore the influences on the creation of opera in their daily drama and drama organization.The seventh chapter is "The regional cultural characteristics of Wujin and Yanghu composers in the period of Qianjia".This chapter takes the Wujin cultural environment in the Qianjia period as the breakthrough point.Through analysis,it discusses the influences of four major cultural schools of Changzhou School,Yanghu School,Piling School and Changzhou Ci School on the creation of operas in Wujin and Yanghu composers and summed up the regional cultural characteristics of the operas of Wujin and Yanghu composers in the Qianjia period.The eighth chapter is "The status of Wujin and Yanghu composers in the opera history in the Qianjia period".This chapter compares the Wujin and Yanghu composers in the Qianjia period with the composers in Wujin and Yanghu areas in the early Qing Dynasty and the late Qing Dynasty and compares with the Wuxi and Jinkui composers in the Qianjia period.In comparison,this chapter highlights the special opera achievements and status of Wujin and Yanghu composers in the Qianjia period,and uses this to give the Wujin and Yanghu composers groups in the Qianjia period a more objective history position in the opera history.The conclusion reviews the characteristics of Wujin and Yanghu composers in the period of Qianjia,the achievements in the creation of opera and the proper position in the history of opera,and discusses the innovations and inadequacies of this thesis.
