In the era of information explosion,the development of reading ability is an important basis for students' all-round development in the future.English is one of the most widely used languages in the world.English reading has the same value and significance as mother tongue reading.With the deepening of the reform of basic education curriculum,our government vigorously promotes reading for all.In 2016,the National Out-of-Class Reading Initiative for Primary and Secondary School Students was issued,calling on teachers,students and parents to attach importance to English out-of-class reading.In this context,the cultivation of primary school students' reading ability is an important factor affecting their all-round development.Therefore,it is imperative to create conditions to carry out colorful reading activities and study the optimization strategy of process management.The process management of primary school English extracurricular reading activities is a dynamic process management which includes four dimensions : goal,plan,organization and evaluation.Each dimension involves three levels:teachers,students and parents.Therefore,in the research process,the author tries to analyze the "four dimensions" of process management by investigating the current situation of the process management of primary school English extracurricular reading activities.The problems and reasons in the "three levels" are discussed,and the optimization strategies are put forward for the problems in each dimension.In exploring the countermeasures to optimize the process management of primary school English extracurricular reading activities,the main ideas are as follows:in goal management,we should clearly formulate the development goals of students' reading literacy at all stages,strengthen teachers' learning of the development goals of reading literacy,and formulate the reading objectives of "teacher-student-family" trinity;in plan management,we should construct a perfect reading resources system to meet reading needs.In the process of organization and management,teachers should strengthen the organizational validity of activities,optimize the reading environment at home and school,improve the reading management system,strengthen the supervision of schools,improve teachers' guidance ability,enrich extracurricular reading activities and stimulate students' reading interest;improve students' reading participation,lighten the burden of schoolwork,ensure adequate reading time,set up reading files,cultivate good reading habits,form peer reading circles,stimulate their reading motivation and improve parents' awareness of accompanying reading;In the evaluation management,through the establishment of reading score evaluation system,the evaluation content will be concretized,the effectiveness of the evaluation process will be improved,the evaluation criteria will be unified,and the orientation of activity evaluation will be improved.The evaluation methods are diversified to improve the diagnostic value of activity evaluation.This paper attempts to optimize the process management model of primary school English extracurricular reading activities from multiple levels and aspects,and realize the dynamic process management model of "four dimensions" of primary school English extracurricular reading activities,so as to improve the level of primary school English extracurricular reading activities process management.In terms of research methods,this paper comprehensively uses questionnaire survey and interview survey to collect and collate data.By analyzing the problems and reasons in the process management of primary school English extracurricular reading activities,this paper puts emphasis on the existing problems and corresponding optimization strategies.To carry out English extracurricular reading activities is not only the requirement of the times,but also the direction of basic education curriculum reform.Through promoting the optimization and integration of primary school English extracurricular reading resources,a dynamic process management model of "goal,plan,organization,evaluation" four dimensions and "teacher-student-parents" three levels is formed,and the process management model of primary school English extracurricular reading activities is optimized to improve the effectiveness of management of primary school English extracurricular reading activities,so as to cultivate pupils' reading habits and interests and improve their reading ability.
