Investigation And Research On The Cultural Activities Of Confucius Institutes From The Perspective Of "5w" Theory

The ELTE Confucius Institute was formally established on December 7,2006.It is the first Confucius institute in Hungary.Since its establishment,adhering to the concept of “language is the carrier of culture”,Confucius institute has been committed to the research of high-quality Chinese teaching,and actively carried out rich cultural activities in order to meet the needs of local people who wants to learn Chinese and understand Chinese culture.Under the guidance of Lasswell's 5W communication theory,this paper take the cultural activities of the ELTE Confucius institute as the object of investigation,conducts questionnaires and interviews to the students,professional teachers,volunteer teachers and the foreign manager of cultural activities to get useful information.And analyzing the current situation of the cultural activities of the ELTE Confucius Institute from five aspects including the communicators,the content,the media,the participants and the effects,and put forward some feasible suggestions.Finally,this paper combines the example of the Spring Festival celebration held by ELTE Confucius institute in 2019,and summarizes the experience from the pre-activity period,the activity period and the post-activity period,so as to provide reference for the festival activities of ELTE Confucius institute.
