Research On The Emotional Conflict Effect Of Emotional Body Action Pictures And Emotional Faces

When we think,our brain silently deal with a variety of external information,which is,of course,include emotional information.Emotional information generally comes from the individual include the perception of the environment to stimulate and their own body consciousness and also includes the individual's cognitive evaluation to the events,so emotional information is one of the most complicated information.Even we often get confused about our emotions.Emotions are essential to our understanding of the world as we learn about others and experience the world through them.However,when we are faced with conflicting emotional scenes and inconsistent emotional information,it can better precipitate our ability of emotional processing.Research on emotional conflict has accumulated a lot of,different scholars from different angles to carry on the comprehensive research,but there are still some deficiencies,such as the emotional body motion picture effect of related research is less,the mood of the conflict for a variety of emotional conflict effect research paradigm of comparative study is less,at the same time on the electrical components of the effect of emotional conflict also needs to be strengthened.This study adopts three different research paradigms of emotional conflict effect,hoping to analyze and understand the effect and mechanism of emotional conflict effect from various aspects,and at the same time to explore the position of emotional body action pictures,a novel stimulus material,in the study of emotional conflict effect.In order to better understand people's processing patterns and cognitive pathways in dealing with conflicting emotional information.Through the study of eeg data,the neural mechanism of emotional conflict effect and brain functional circuits related to emotional information processing can be further understood.Experiment 1 Used a mood start experiment paradigm,using 2(emotions face categories: anger,joy)x 2(face-word mood titer consistency: consistent and inconsistent)of the subjects in experimental design,the reaction time and accuracy of the dependent variable as the subjects,subjects in stimulating image emotional faces under the interference of the titer of mood word for determining task response ability is affected.The results showed that when the emotional valence was inconsistent,the subjects needed a longer time to complete the task.At the same time,the happy face had a promoting effect on the processing of emotional words,and the response required by the happy face and the positive word condition was significantly shorter than that required by the happy face and the negative word condition.When the face-word emotional valence condition was inconsistent,the response of happy faces and negative words was longer than that of angry faces and positive words.There is no significant difference in accuracy.This study shows the existence of emotional conflict effect,which verifies that the information processing of individual emotional words is disturbed when the emotional valence is inconsistent.Experiment 2 use the word-face emotional stroop paradigm,using 3(word-stimulus task types: face-word,the whole body-word,only-body-word)x 2(word-stimulating emotion potency consistency: consensus,conflict)within subjects of experimental design,the dependent variable as the reaction time and accuracy of the subjects,participants was asked to react to the emotional stimuli.Significant difference was found in three task types response data,At the same time,the existence of emotional conflict effect was verified again in these two task types.Experiment 3 used three face-body conflict paradigm using 2(task types: face judgment task,body judgment task)x 2(emotion type: consistency,conflict),within subject of the experimental design.Behavior data show that whenever the emotional body and face emotion type is inconsistent condition or consistent found emotionalconflict effect,indicating that the participants in processing emotional information,not only need to face the mood of the information,also needs the mood of the information to the body.Electroencephalogram data showed that there was no significant difference between the two task types,and emotional valence conflict condition induced the component P1 of electroencephalogram with earlier latency and smaller amplitude.To sum up,First,the effect of emotional conflict has been consistently verified.Second,the emotion-body-only pictures have the same rich emotional information as the emotion-whole-body images.Third,the emotion-body-face conflict paradigm also contains the conflict situation,which needs the individual to process the conflict.
