Emotion and Emotion Regulation is a commonplace phenomenon in our life in every day, they are closely related to memory, and they are hot issue in recent years. But the past study about the emotional influence of memory is to present emotional picture at first, after proper interval, to measure the memory for emotional material. Most of studies do not discuss the influence of emotional pictures on memory for neutral words, so we try to make out the relationship between emotion and memory. And in the emotional state, Less studies of emotion regulation had focused on neutral material. So on the basis of past research, the present study used continuous recognition paradigm to observe the impact of different emotional picture for learning and memory neutral word. In positive emotion, compare the result of the passive view or reappraisal strategies to confirm which is good for memory. In the study one, the present study used behavior measurement and the event-related potential (ERP) measurement to observe the influence of emotional images background for remembering netrual words. The result of response time show the old/new effect. At the same time, it showed background effect in the old words, namely, when the word presented at the second time. Under negative images background participants’RT was longer than neutral and positive images background. ERP results indicated that the amplitude of LPC(500~700ms) in possive and neutral are larger than in negative emotion, we hold the opinion that in this phase negative emotion maybe abstract more notice and cognitive resource. In the second study, the present study still used behavior measurement and the event-related potential (ERP) measurement to observe the influence of emotion regulation for remembering netrual words. The result of response time show the old/new effect. At the same time, it showed background effect in the old words, namely, when the word presented at the second time. Under negative images background participants’RT was longer than neutral and positive images background. The result of accuracy rate showed the old/new effect. To compare with the neutral background, participants’accuracy for words of memory was higher than negative. Under cognitive reappraisal strategies, participants’accuracy was higher than passive watch. we think that cognitive reappraisal strategies consume cognitive resources, because under negative images background participants’RT was longer than passive watch when the word presented first.
