Research On The Identification And Preventive Intervention Of Adolescents At High Risk Of Depression

Research Background: The adolescent depression has high incidence and is difficult to cure.In our country,at least 6% to 7% adolescents are diagnosed with depression every year.However,the treatment effect of the adolescent depression is not effective.Therefore,it's necessary to develop the effective preventive intervention plan on adolescents who have high risk of depression before they really suffer from depression.At present,the preventive intervention is the trend of mental health education.The adolescents with high risk of depression refers to the students who has depression tendency and is suffering negative event which may cause the students depressing.the adolescents with depression tendency can be tested by depression scale,but the negative events which may cause depression and the effective preventive intervention plan still need to be researched and developed.Research Aim: The research aims to explore the method for identifying adolescents who have high risk of depression in time,so as to make the effective preventive intervention plan for them.Meanwhile,using experimental methods is used to test the effectiveness of the plan.Research 1 Study on the Identification of the Adolescents with High Risk of DepressionResearch Aim: To explore the events which causes the adolescent depression from four aspects,including family,school,special experience and interpersonal communication,and then form the checklist of depression-prone events.Research Object: To take the 490 students in grade one from a middle school in Qingdao as the research object by random inspection.Research Method: By utilizing the questionnaire survey,it firstly modifies the Adolescent Self-rating Life Events Checklist and then forms the negative events checklist of adolescent depression-prone.And after one year,it implements the Center of epidemiological survey-depression Scale(CES-D)and the checklist twice and then modifies the negative events checklist of adolescent depression-prone.Research Result: The negative events checklist of adolescent depression-prone is composed of 11 events about family,school,special experience and interpersonal communication such as failing in the test,having conflicts with classmates or friends and having heavy learning pressure.According to the checklist,it finds that there is significant difference among the scores of the adolescents who have different level of depression.And the higher of the degree of depression,the score is higher on the checklist.There is also significant difference between the negative events and post-test depression.But there is no significant difference between the negative events of the adolescents without depression and post-test depression.The negative events that are likely to induce depression in adolescents combined with depression tendency can effectively identify adolescents at high risk of depression.Research 2 The Development of Preventative Intervention Plan and Intervention Research for the Adolescents with High Risk of DepressionResearch Aim: To develop the preventive intervention plan for the adolescents with high risk of depression and verify the effectiveness of the plan by empirical research.Research Method: In this research,it aims to develop an individualized preventive intervention plan with positive psychology and humanism as the theoretical direction and sandplay as the main intervention method.It adopts the pretest and post-test design of the experimental group and control group.In other words,with taking the students in grade one who have depression tendency and are caught in the depression-prone events as the research objects,the students are randomly divided into experimental group and control group and each group has 29 students.Then it develops one-year intervention on the experimental group.Research Result: there is no significant difference of depression degree between experimental group and control group before developing the intervention.The score of experimental group is significantly lower than that of control group in the depression scale after developing the intervention.And after the students in experimental group have accepted the preventive intervention,the number of students with depression in experimental group is significantly less than that of control group.Research Conclusion:(1)The negative events checklist of adolescent depression-prone can distinct the students who have different level of depression.And based on the combination of depression tendency and the negative events in the checklist,it can better predict the occurrence of the adolescent depression.(2)The preventive intervention plan with with positive psychology and humanism as the theoretical direction and sandplay as the main intervention method can effectively reduce the occurrence of the adolescent depression,and it can be worked as an intervention plan for preventing the high risk of adolescent depression in psychological health education.
