Research On The Characters In Du Fu's Poems

Du Fu is one of the most important poets in the Tang Dynasty and even classical poetry.The academic research on Du Fu almost covers all aspects,but the research on the characters in poetry is still weak,mostly focusing on interpretation of a specific character type or single character,there is no systematic study of character image of Du Fu’s poems.This article takes this as a starting point to study the characters of Du Fu’s poems.First,explain the characters of pre-Tang poetry.From the two aspects of the background and the types of characters in the poems,the paper analyzes the influence of the characters and description techniques in the pre-Tang poetry on Du Fu.Second,organize and analyze the characters in Du Fu’s poems,organize the poems that have been described in detail and expressed the spiritual outlook of the characters.Compare them with the quantitative statistical methods such as forms,and then study the relationship between the characters and the genre of poetry,and summarize the types of characters in Du Fu’s poems.Third,study Du Fu’s character shaping art.Among them are the descriptions of the poet Li Wei of the Tang Dynasty and the unique innovation and development of the poets.Du Fu broke through the expression of the intrinsic style,and incorporated the expressions of novels,literature and history into poetry creation,which not only enriched the shaping and emotional expression of the characters in poetry,but also created a new world of communication and integration between styles.Fourth,reveal the influence of Du Fu’s character shaping skills.Du Fu was admired by the poets of the later generations for his rich features of poetry.Among them,Bai Juyi inherited the realist style of Du Shi’s depiction of the underlying characters.Han Yu and Li He focused on the characters of Shangqi style.The novels of the Tang Dynasty also absorbed reference from Du Fu’s poems,enriching the shaping of characters in literary works.
