Research On Zhou Wenju's Meticulous Figure Painting Style

Zhou wenju was in the transition period of the tang and song dynasties.He was particularly outstanding compared with other painters in the same period in the development of the culture and art of the southern tang dynasty.In the later period of li yu,he was appointed as the academician to be in charge of the imperial court.His figure painting inherited the figure painting of the tang dynasty and followed the development of The Times,thus forming a new transformation.The original elegant and magnificent style of the tang dynasty gradually turned to the delicate and fresh style of painting.Moment of the novel works both in terms of shape,line,composition,or painting embodies the artistic aesthetic feeling,based on natural object,but not limited to the object's color and form,is different from the general practical technique,but the real object of refining processing,by breaking the modelling of the composition,diversity of space limitations,the subjectivity of color,full of rhythm of lines,combined with their own subjective intention and law of beauty to highlight the theme of the picture.This paper mainly analyzes the paintings of zhou wen-moment's "double screen hui qi figure","wen-yuan figure","liu-li hall figure","palace figure" and "palace music figure",and analyzes the characteristics of zhou wen-moment's meticulous figure painting style by comparing the works of other artists.In terms of picture composition,it achieves the effect of "one painting trio",arranging objects in different time and space in the same picture,and paying attention to the control of density and distribution.In the line aspect,it adopts the original "war pen water lines" to draw the clothing lines of the characters,paying attention to the delicate arrangement of lines;In the modeling of the characters into the elements of realism,using different stylized treatment,pay more attention to the characterization of the characters;In the aspect of the use of color,the simple and elegant literati coloring,combined with the expression of subjective emotions in the picture,has a certain impact on the later literati painting coloring.Zhou wenmoment's unique brushwork and painting style have high research value in the long stream of Chinese figure painting.
