Chinese Woodblock Print is originated in China that is a kind of ancient printmaking,over 1000 years history at least in China.It has far-reaching significance to carry on the research and inheritance to it in the new period.Modern printmaking type has developed from a single wood plate printing in the 1930 s to the present copper,screen,stone,digital,PS,and so on.And with the development of the science and technology society,there will be more types of printmaking,such as copper plate,silk screen,stone plate,digital version,and so on.This greatly enriches the means of making printmaking and the language of expression,but at the same time,we should also see the impact of western culture on Chinese culture.Of course,the good factor in the western culture is that we should absorb and use for reference well into the Chinese "Mainstream Culture",but lack of cultural value,spiritual connotation of print works are also so many.This factor also leads to the lack of artistic appeal of some printmaking works and the serious distortion of aesthetic orientation which affects the development of printmaking.This continuation will eventually affect the development and development of Chinese culture at a higher level.Therefore,we should pay more attention to the national characteristics of printmaking,and the Chinese attribute of print language should be considered by more printmakers.The mode of thinking and expression of Chinese culture should not deviate from the law of art development.On the other hand,we inherit the cultural thinking mode of the Chinese nation.It should be easier to reflect the difference between us and other regional cultures in the world,and it is also the value of our cultural existence.And woodblock print is our native variety of prints,concentrated on the wisdom of the Chinese nation,but also made a great contribution to the world.From this point of view,inheriting Chinese woodblock print is a perfect idea for nationalization of printmaking.The main research direction of this paper is the characteristics of Chinese attributes of watermarked woodcut language.From the historical origin of woodblock print,understand the development of watermarked wood carving.From the analysis of the tool material of the woodblock print,the printing method,the pursuit of the image realm and the aesthetic meaning of woodblock print.The oriental spirit of watermarked wood engraving in contemporary printmaking context is studied in order to provide some ideas for the inheritance of Chinese attributes of watermarked woodcut language.It also enables our own watermarked woodcut creation to reflect some of the characteristics of our own people.
