Research On Xiong Fuxi's Artistic Creation And Educational Philosophy During The Anti-Japanese War

Xiong Foxi(1900—1965),the founder and pioneer of Chinese modern drama,one of the first playwrights in the history of Chinese modern drama,is a famous Chinese dramatist and educator,even in the field of literature and painting.Mr.Xiong Foxi devoted his whole life to artistic creation and art education.He created 27 multi-act plays,17 one-act plays,and published more than 20 books,such as the drama series "The Descendants of the Chinese Nation","A Patriotic Heart","Rear Defence",and "Sorrow at the Bottom of Youth",novels "Iron seedlings" and "Iron Flowers",short stories "Sang Ersiao",lyric creation "Great Dr.Sun Yat-sen" and "Better to Be Yourself",poetry essays "Impression of landscape figures",and many other calligraphy and paintings.The period of the War of Resistance against Japan is a special historical period in the modern history of China.In the face of the tragic situation of the aggression of the big powers and the hardship of life,the ideological and cultural development of China has been favorable,and a large number of writers have emerged in this period.They hoped that their pens would awaken the sleeping Chinese people to unite against the enemy.Mr.Xiong Foxi is also one of them.The period of the War of Resistance against Japan was the peak of his artistic creation.During this period,he created a large number of dramatic works,played in dozens of dramas,carried out drama experiments in peasant popularization,and set up a drama school.He also created literature,calligraphy,paintings and other kinds of art works.Xiong Foxi's patriotic enthusiasm ran high,and his rich works of art in this period are of great value and significance.Through the study of Mr.Xiong Foxi's works of art and educational ideas during this period,this paper excavates the aesthetic features and epoch significance of his artistic thought and ideas.At the same time,the paper takes care of history,returns to history,thinks about the future,combines the historical theme of the War of Resistance against Japan with Mr.Xiong Foxi's artistic ideas,and reveals the status and contribution of his artistic theory and artistic thought in modern and contemporary art education.This paper is divided into four chapters: the first chapter introduces the background of Xiong Foxi's artistic idea and the transformation process of his artistic creation thought during the War of Resistance against Japan.Tracing back to Mr.Xiong Foxi's life and study experience,introducing the origin of artistic idea and the transformation of his artistic thought during the War of Resistance against Japan,this part paves the way for discussing Mr.Xiong Foxi's artistic creation and educational idea during this period.The second and third chapters of this paper are the key chapters.The art idea of Xiong Foxi during the War of Resistance against Japan is divided into artistic creation idea and artistic education idea in detail.His artistic creation concept and artistic education idea from his works of art and teaching experience are analyzed and summarized.The last chapter of the paper discusses the aesthetic characteristics and time significance of Xiong Foxi's artistic concept.The aesthetic characteristics of Xiong Foxi's artistic concept are shown as the center of interest,simple and refined beauty.The time significance of him are "open up the wisdom of the people,awaken the soul of the people",the artistic value of the art guiding life,the outstanding artistic thought passed down to this day and other specific contents.
