Cai Yong's Aesthetic Research | | Posted on:2020-02-28 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:X L Song | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2435330599456019 | Subject:Aesthetics | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Based on the basic propositions and concepts in the history of Chinese aesthetics,such as "the relationship between beauty and kindness","emotion" and "nature",this paper sorts out and discusses the origin,connotation and historical significance of CAI yong’s aesthetic thoughts.The proposition of "the relationship between beauty and goodness" is deeply rooted in the Confucian aesthetic thoughts and has a far-reaching influence.CAI yong strengthened the theoretical connotation of "the relationship between beauty and kindness" from three aspects: reviving Confucianism,pursuing the Confucian ideal of personality and advocating the function of art ethics.He was dissatisfied with the distortion of Confucianism by secular Confucianism,published and engraved stone sutras to maintain the orthodox status of Confucianism,and took the political ideal and personal cultivation of Confucianism as his will and ambition,and put them into practice,and actively practiced rites.CAI yong insisted on the ideal personality standard of "integration of beauty and goodness".He admires the gentleman image of "filial piety,mild respect,kindness and tenacity" and appreciates the natural demeanor of "being optimistic and knowing his destiny".While discussing art,CAI yong insisted on the standard of beauty and emphasized the function of art to regulate human relations.His music theory advocated "zhong ni si GUI,zhou gong yue chang",calligraphy theory emphasized "order human relations,comprehensive personnel".CAI yong paid great attention to individual emotion,advocated the view of literature and art and praised individual emotion.His view of literature and art is based on emotion,which is the outburst of melancholy,anger,stagnation and sadness.His description of emotion breaks through the emphasis on public emotion and transfers to private emotion.CAI yong’s "ode" shifted from praising the imperial power to the individual,and his "fu" described the love between a man and a woman in a bold and delicate way.The pain oflove-sickness described in poem of Yinma Changcheng Kuxing highly praised the personal emotion."View of nature" is the foundation of CAI yong’s aesthetic style.his understanding of nature and human is no longer based on the Confucian thoughts of "comparing virtue",but he pursues the state of "free and unfettered".He insisted that "art stems from nature" and pursued the "tranquil and tranquil" beauty of music.In calligraphy itself into a whole,the formation of "force" as the core of the calligraphy theory.CAI yong’s "view of nature" focused on the pure aesthetic appreciation of nature and formed his aesthetic pursuit of "marvel melted in nature".His pursuit of "marvel melted in nature" starts and ends with the logic of "harmony between man and nature" in ancient China.At the same time,it also enriched and developed the thought of "harmony between man and nature"Cai Yong strengthened the "beauty-good relationship",based on the main literary and artistic conception,pays attention to individualized emotions,and pursues the aesthetic ideal of "marvel melted in nature".He described richly in these basic propositions,unique in his insights and profound in his thinking,formed a relatively perfect and unique aesthetic ideology.From the perspective of the development of Chinese aesthetic history,Cai Yong’s Aesthetics studied the west and east Han dynasty and opened Wei and Jin periods.His thinking and discussion on the basic aesthetic propositions such as the relationship between beauty and goodness,emotion and nature played an important role in promoting the development of Wei Jin aesthetic theory and the formation of Wei Jin style. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Cai Yong, integration of beauty and goodness, literature and art view of advocating emotions, marvel melted in nature | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
