As the social rhythm accelerates, time scarcity and time pressure appear more frequently in modern people's lives. In the face of time pressure, accurate estimation of the time of the event helps the individual to properly handle the pressure, reasonably arrange the event and time course, and ensure the normal work and life. Therefore,it is necessary to explore how time pressure affects an individual's perception of time and explore possible mechanisms behind it.Previous studies have shown that time pressure can greatly change the individual's psychological time perception, resulting in lower accuracy of the individual's estimation of time. Some scholars have shown that time stress in the dual-task paradigm will cause individuals to underestimate time;while others have found in 2014 and 2018 that time pressure may cause individuals to overestimate time.Comparing the existing research,it is found that the operation mode of time pressure is different between the studies, and there is no multi-level comparison of the degree of time pressure, and the difficulty of each task cannot be directly compared. Therefore, this study wants to investigate the effects of multiple levels of time pressure on individual time estimates under the same time pressure operation, and the different effects that time pressure may have on individual time estimates under different task difficulties.Study 1 used the classical time-pressure operating paradigm to manipulate the time pressure level of the subjects by limiting the time the task was completed(the selection time was 140% T,100% T,60% T,and 130% T,90% T,50% T),and select two kinds of time interval length(30s,10s),using forward-looking timing, requiring the subject to complete the non-time-related mathematical judgment task while completing the timing task, the dependent variable adopts the task correct rate and verbal Report the length of time to explore whether time pressure will affect an individual's subjective representation of time.As a result, the main effect of time pressure is significant. As the degree of stress increases, the correct rate of tasks decreases, and individuals tend to underestimate time.On the basis of Repetitive Study 1,Study 2 added the adjustment variables of task difficulty to explore whether the influence of time pressure on individual duration estimation is consistent under three different task difficulty. The study used task difficulty(high, medium, low)* time pressure level(130% T,90% T,50% T)*duration interval length(30s,15s),the design of the subject, the dual task paradigm, the dependent variable is still The correct rate for the task and the length of the time interval for the oral report. The results show that the interaction between time pressure and task difficulty is significant. When the task is easy, the subject tends to underestimate the time as the stress level increases. When the task is difficult, the time pressure has no effect on the individual's duration estimation.Based on the above findings, the study draws the following conclusions:(1)Time pressure affects an individual's duration estimation and leads to an individual's underestimation of duration;(2)Task difficulty will adjust the impact of time pressure on individual duration estimation. When the task is easy, the subject tends to underestimate the duration as the time pressure increases. When the task is difficult, the time pressure has no effect on the individual's duration interval estimation.
