Research On The Development Of Confucius Institutes Based On The Perspective Of Cultural Diplomacy

Today,as globalization continues to advance,culture has become a new perspective beyond the political,economic,military to analyze world politics and international relations,cultural diplomacy has become an important tool of foreign policy of a country.The Confucius Institute,which promotes Chinese and Chinese culture,has become a new way of Chinese cultural diplomacy.Since the establishment of the first Confucius Institute in Seoul in November 2004 in Seoul,South Korea,the Confucius Institute has gone through 15 years of history.By the end of 2018,548 Confucius Institutes and 1,193 Confucius Classrooms had been established in 154 countries and regions around the world.In the past 15 years,the Confucius Institute has not only taught Chinese and promoted Chinese culture overseas,but also promoted the promotion of China's international image,promoted cultural diplomacy,promoted the interaction and cooperation between China and foreign countries in economy,education and tourism,and enhanced the soft power of Chinese culture.The Confucius Institute has become the window for the world to understand China.This study starts from the perspective of cultural diplomacy,comprehensive cultural diplomacy theory,Marxist cultural thoughts and diplomatic thoughts,and network data resources such as the Confucius Institute website.Analyze the status quo and problems of the development of Confucius Institutes and try to answer the following questions: How did the Confucius Institute develop as a cultural diplomacy platform in the context of globalization?
