Nature In Rousseau's Unity

In the 18th century,when the Enlightenment Thought was extraordinarily exalted,people's curiosity to explore things was stronger than ever.So,numerous scholars stepped into the ranks of exploring "Nature" by their authorship,and Rousseau was one of them.Unlike the mainstream view of Natural Theory regarded "Reason" as supremacy,Rousseau did not approve the core value of Reason in the Nature Theory.From what he agrees,Nature is a complete contrast to Society,Nature State is sensibility but no reason,while the latter was the product from the Social State.For Rousseau,the Nature Theory constitutes the basis of his whole ideology."Return to Nature" and establishing "Democratic Republic" are the ideal pursuits of Rousseau's life.For the purpose of promoting this ideal better,Rousseau has authored a number of works to express his intentions,covering a wide range of disciplines,including philosophy,literature,ethics,pedagogy,musicology and so on.Based on the unity of Rousseau's thought,this paper analyzes how Rousseau presents the consistency of his ideas in his works by expounding the connotation of Rousseau's Natural Theory,especially in how to show the natural aspects of unity.In such a case,this article will be carried out in the following four areas.The Introduction is composed of two parts,Topic Selection and Its Theoretical Significance and Research Status at Home and Abroad and Methods of This Paper.The Determination of Topic Selection and Its Theoretical Significance mainly discusses the reasons for choosing the theme of "Nature in Rousseau's Unity",the value and feasibility of-the research on this subject in the present academic field.Research Status at Home and Abroad and Methods of This Paper not only from the perspective of Literature Review to sort out the research monographs and papers about Rousseau's Unity and Nature among the present academia,but also summarizes the objective methods used in this paper and the internal logic of the conception.The first chapter mainly analyzes the ideal vision of Rousseau as a whole.from the grand angle and the unity characteristic that runs through the whole thought to realize this vision.The first part of this chapter firstly explains the importance of the vision,and then though Hobbes,one advocate of the theory of Nature,compares the similarities and differences between Rousseau and Hobbes' Natural Theory.The next step,it turns to the interior of the Rousseau's ideal vision,meticulously analyzes the contradictions between Nature and Society.The second part begins with the analysis of the internal components in this Unity,and further demonstrates the existed attributes and the value which would exist in the unity of Rousseau's thought.The second chapter will further elaborate on the basis of the first chapter,start from two aspects and combine with the text content of Rousseau's Natural Theory to make a more in-depth investigation,while it is mainly from the two aspects of Rousseau's unique lonely dilemma and Rousseau's ideal scheme to solve this dilemma.Rousseau has keenly award that the proximity of the external force in "Civilized World" will not only break the goodliness of Nature itself,but also increase the possibility that comes from the transition from Nature State's loss of momentum to Sustainable Development of Social State.The third chapter deals with the concrete analysis of the Nature's Unity contained in Rousseau's literary works.This chapter is composed of three chapters,the first chapter discusses the background of Rousseau's literature and its own uniqueness compared with other people's works,The second chapter takes the text of The Fifth Promeneur as an example,discusses how the literary works prove the rational position of Rousseau's unity thought in the natural expression.The third chapter returns to the wholeness of Rousseau's thought,and points out the significance and value of Nature to Rousseau's literary works and its influence to posterity literatures.Through the discussion of Nature Theory in Rousseau's Unity,this paper attempts to launch a more comprehensive historical review of Rousseau's text,and get a clearer understanding of Rousseau's ideal politics though combing the contradictory relationship between Rousseau and his time.At the same time,this article also wants to take advantage of this opportunity to make a more systematic exploration of Rousseau's theory of nature,which not only accumulates more useful experience for the holistic study of the Rousseau's ideology,but also provides a reference for us to view Rousseau and Rousseau's works more objectively in the contemporary practical significance.
