Zhou Yuan was one of the core areas of the Zhou people in the Western Zhou Dynasty.Even after Zhou Gong built Luoyi,Zhou Yuan was still an important activity area of the Zhou people.Until the end of the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Zhou Dynasty moved to Luoyi, and the importance of Zhou Yuan declined rapidly.Since the Han Dynasty,Zhou Yuan unearthed the bronzes of the Western Zhou Dynasty one after another. However, because of the long time interval, the difficulty of preservation and the difficulty of defining the unearthed time and place,it is extremely difficult to study their inscriptions and other contents. From the end of the Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China, the time and place of most of the unearthed artifacts had begun to be clearly recorded.Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, many bronze wares have been found in Zhouyuan area, and archaeological work has been carried out in the tomb area of the site.A large number of bronze wares of the Western Zhou Dynasty have been unearthed. The inscriptions of unearthed bronze articles are related to the social system of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and are also helpful in discussing the chronology and other issues. Most of the bronze wares in Zhou Yuan's cellar were buried very hastily, and the number of bronze wares in the cellar had no law to follow, but they were basically articles of a certain person or family, and most of them had inscriptions. In addition, some family cemeteries also unearthed bronzes with inscriptions, although the number of bronzes with inscriptions is relatively limited, but their clan is often more clear. In the introduction, the various concepts involved in the article are discriminated to clarify the scope of the study is the study of the clan issues of bronzes unearthed in Zhouyuan area, and explain the concepts of Zhouyuan area and clan.In the second chapter, through the study of Ji family such as Gu family and Nangong family,we can better understand that in the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Zhou royal family attached great importance to Zhouyuan area,as well as the detailed arrangements for the management of this area.Even in the core area of the dynasty,it still paid attention to strengthening the control of this area by blood relationship as a link.In the third chapter, the author discusses in detail the family of different surnames such as Keshi,Weishi and Sanshi in Zhouyuan area, especially the location of each cellar, which is related to the significance of studying the geographical division of the family's distribution in Zhouyuan area, the nature of the official appointed by the family, and the status of the family in the central part of the Zhou Dynasty.By discussing the marriage relationship between the family with different surnames and the family with Ji surnames,we can see that in the Western Zhou Dynasty, the Zhou Royal Family's policy of enclosing and assimilating the family with different surnames such as the Yin Dynasty's adherents, moved some of them to the hinterland of the dynasty, and strengthened the stability of its rule in the Zhou Yuan area through the blood marriage relationship.Discussing the genealogical relationship of different family names will help us to further study the related patriarchal clan system in the Western Zhou Dynasty, especially the sacrificial rituals of large and small clans, whose specific conditions are reflected in the gold inscriptions, and the excavation of large-scale copper wares in the cellar family will further study the situation of large-scale sacrificial wares given to small clans. The most important part is about the location of the above families in Zhouyuan.Because of the particularity of the burial of bronze wares in Zhouyuan cellar,it is of great significance to study the residence of the families in this area during the Western Zhou Dynasty. The Palace site of Zhou Yuan has been excavated many times and achieved remarkable results, which is very helpful to the problems of family cohabitation in the Western Zhou Dynasty. For example, the bronze wares in the Qiangjiacun cellar were excavated in the area of Qiangjiacun, and Qiangjiacun was located on the edge of the main site of Zhouyuan Palace in the Western Zhou Dynasty. It can be seen that the location of the Kuang family at that time was very close to the palace area of the Zhou Royal Family, which not only reflected the high status of the family, the close relationship with the Zhou Royal Family, but also related to the responsibilities it assumed in Zhouyuan. Therefore, the study of the contents of the bronze inscriptions unearthed by various families in Zhou Yuan, combined with the relevant issues involved in the specific sites unearthed in Zhou Yuan,is of great significance to the study of the nature of Zhou Yuan,a special area in the Western Zhou Dynasty.Through this study,we can have a more comprehensive understanding of the relevant historical events in the Western Zhou Dynasty.
