Research On Wang Xianqian's Friendship

Wang Xianqian was a famous scholar and writer in the late Qing Dynasty.His family was very poor when he was a child but he was very smart.He passed the imperial examination at the age of twenty-four and he became a member of the Imperial Academy.He often gave his opinions on national events.He used to be the leader of The Imperial College and deal with Jiangsu Province educational activities.When he was forty-eight years old,he gave up his official position and returned to his hometown.As a gentleman leader in his hometown,he had a lot of influence on many things.For example,the reform of Hunan Province and the establishment of new school in Changsha.He was knowledgeable and he also wrote many famous academic books.In his whole life,Wang Xianqian had many friends including officials,scholars and writers and so on.There are more than 300 of them with clear written records.Based on historical facts and textual research,this paper selects several representative figures to discuss.The article focuses on the investigation of the facts of Wang Xianqian 's interaction with his friends,and shows his circle of friends.At the same time,the article also enriched Wang Xianqian's characters and combed his political and academic thoughts.Wang Xianqian cares about industry and personally founded the factory.He advocates studying Western natural science thoughts under the premise of the imperial power system.His political thoughts are similar to those of the Westernization.Wang Xianqian advocates that all academics should be developed.He hopes to change the world through academics.The article is divided into five chapters based on Wang Xianqian 's interaction with friends.The first chapter introduces Wang Xianqian's family history and life,and discusses some important events.The second chapter describes the facts of Wang Xianqian and friends with official status,including Liu Kunyi,Chen Baozhen and Guo Songtao.In this way,we can see the interaction between Wang Xianqian 's social intercourse and political avtivities,and discover Wang Xianqian 's political views.The third chapter is Wang Xianqian's academic social intercourse,including his teacher Zhou Shouchang,his friend Li Ciming,Miu Quansun and his student Ye Dehui.This part shows the academic influence of each other as well as Wang Xianqian's academic thoughts.The fourth chapter is the social intercourse between Wang Xianqian and some special groups,including Buddhists and Japanese.This part of the content makes Wang Xianqian's social intercourse more abundant.The content of the last chapter is the characteristics,methods and influence of Wang Xianqian's social intercourse.This part tries to show how a scholar like Wang Xianqian practices his own philosophies in the late Qing Dynasty.
