The important funerary objects in an tomb are the inevitable products of the feudal society.The tomb figures in Tang Dynasty in Chang'an and Luoyang have distinct characteristics of the times and regions.After analyzing and summarizing the tomb figurines in the Tang Dynasty in Chang' an and Luoyang with iconology and typology,the development of the tomb figurines has been clarified.Summarizing and comparing the characteristics of the tomb figurines in two places,then exploring the social factors that influence the evolution of the tomb figurines and the phenomenon of cultural exchange in the Tang Dynasty.lt has higher academic value for the study of funerary sculpture,pottery figurines and cultural concepts in Tang Dynasty.Chapter ? lists the tombs that unearthed the annals of tombs and no age tombs.Chapter ? and Chapter? take the period of the tomb of Tang Dynasty as the basis.On the basis of a large number of excavation reports,archaeological investigation reports and the pictures of the tomb figures are included.Taking a archaeological typology analysis on the tomb figures beast and tomb figurines armor in Chang'an and Luoyang.Chapter ? discusses the tomb figurines beast.First,taking the three tombs in the North and Southern Dynasty as an example,making a brief trace to the origin of the tomb figurines beast.Then making archaeological typology analysis on the shapes of the tomb figurines beast in the early Tang Dynasty,the glorious age of Tang Dynasty,and the Mid-Late Tang Dynasty.Summarizing modelling characteristic in each period and drawing it how to carry on.Chapter? discusses the tomb figurines armor.Firstly of all,taking the three tombs in the North and Southern Dynasty as an example,making the evolution of the armor type.Archaeological typology analysis was made on the shapes of the tomb figurines armor.The modeling characteristics of each period were summarized and the process of the formation of the tomb figurines armor evolved in the Tang Dynasty.Chapter? discusses related issues.First,comparing the same and differences factors between Chang'an and Luoyang.Second,from social background,geomancy,Buddhism and exchanging,researching the reason that influenced the development and decline of tomb figurines in Tang Dynasty.Last,through the Sogdian as the opening point,researching the phenomenon of cultural exchange.In the last part,summarizing the result of research.The paper focused on the typology analysis of the tomb figurines in Chang'an and Luoyang.The evolution of tomb figurines since small to large,soon from large to small,and its subsidiary decoration from little to much,and from much to little is summarized.And the manufacturing process is briefness to refinement.By comparing the tomb figurines in Chang'an and Luoyang,we can find that there are many high-grade tombs in Chang'an,and the quantity and shape of tomb figurines are large,and it appeared earlier,the existence time is long and the shape is elegant.The number of tomb figurines in Luoyang is not as large as the former,its shape is smaller.And it appeared later,the the existence time is shorter than the fonner.
