From The Royal Garden To The City Park

The imperial garden occupies an important position in the inheritance of Beijing's historical context.Xiyuan Beihai has undergone a process of change from the royal garden to the city park.It contains cultural phenomena of different periods in Beijing,records the long history of development,and shows the rich urban social life and national culture.Beihai park embodies the historical inheritance and synchronous integration among the elements of traditional culture,urban culture and social culture.It is the epitome of Beijing's historical development and contemporary cultural construction,and therefore has special research value.The paper takes Beihai park as the research object,starting from the perspective of cultural space,integrating folklore,anthropology,sociology,architecture and other discipline knowledge,and studies the inheritance and change of Beihai,a representative imperial garden cultural space,by means of literature analysis and field investigation.First,combs the development history of Beihai,introduce the spatial layout of Beihai,and analyzes the traditional cultural factors contained in Beihai.And expounds the formation process and connotation of Beihai cultural space from three aspects:history,geography and culture.While fully grasping the historical features of Beihai park,paying attention to the dynamic nature of garden cultural space,and discusses the spatial attribute changes of Beihai park from the imperial garden to the city park from the aspects of space subject,space function and space characteristics,etc.Based on this,explains the formation process of the public cultural space of Beihai.Next,analyzes the protection and utilization of historical space and traditional culture in Beihai park from the aspects of architectural cultural landscape protection,traditional space environment utilization,and folk culture inheritance and dissemination and to explore the contemporary development and innovation of Beihai cultural space.It focuses on how to realize the organic combination of architectural landscape,regional environment,cultural atmosphere and historical tradition,and discusses the contemporary significance and value of cultural space of Beihai park.Then,analyzes the contradictions and problems in the cultural space inheritance and development of Beihai park from the three aspects:the integrity and coordination of the architectural cultural space,the openness and accessibility of the public cultural space,and the authenticity and readability of the historical and cultural space,and discusses the development strategy of cultural space of Beihai park.Finally,after the comprehensive elaboration and analysis of the inheritance and development of the cultural space of Beihai park,it is concluded that only on the premise of respecting the historical and cultural to make use of space,and on the basis of excavating the connotation of space to develop the cultural function of it,can transform deep space historical and cultural resources into a steady stream of cultural productivity,and achieve the sustainable development of urban public cultural space.
