Fan Wenlan's Historical Research During The Yan'an Period Contributed To The Sinicization Of Marxist Historiography

Yan'an Period is an important stage in the development of Marxist historiography in China.Under the influence of Marxist and Mao Zedong's thoughts on historical research,Fan Wenlan used Marxist standpoints,viewpoints and methods to analyze Chinese history.The Compendium of General History of China is a monumental work of Marxist historiography in Yan'an Period.It is the first general history work written under the guidance of historical materialism in China.It opens a new stage of systematically studying Chinese history with historical materialism as its guiding ideology and establishes the position and guiding role of Marxist historiography in the field of Chinese history research after the mid-20th century.This paper centers on Fan Wenlan's historical research in Yan'an period and takes the Compendium of General History of China as the breakthrough point.It focuses on the analysis of Fan Wenlan's achievements in the study of Marxist historiography,explores the value of Fan Wenlan's historical research,and recognizes the important role of historical research under special historical conditions.The full text is divided into three parts:introduction,body and conclusion.The first part summarizes the research significance,research status,research methods,research ideas and research objectives of this paper.The second part is the focus of this paper,which is discussed from three aspects.Firstly,it discusses the background and conditions of Fan Wenlan's historical research under the guidance of Marxism in Yan'an period.Starting from Fan Wenlan's growth experience and academic experience,and combining with the severe situation of the Chinese revolution at that time,this paper probes into Fan Wenlan's praise and application of Marxist theory in historical research.Then,with the Compendium of General History of China as the center,Fan Wenlan's Marxist conception of history and methodology are discussed.On the one hand,Fan Wenlan uses historical materialism to study Chinese history,pays attention to the particularity of Chinese history,combines the general principles of Marxism with the concrete development of Chinese history,and starts with the contradictory movement between productivity and production relations to discuss the concrete history of China.Problem.On the other hand,Fan Wenlan uses Marxist class analysis method to analyze the main contradictions and social nature of Chinese society,affirms the historical dominant position of the working people,and affirms the historical position and role of the Chinese peasant class.At last,the paper discusses the role of General History of China in promoting the Sinicization of Marxist historiography from three aspects.Fan Wenlan innovated the paradigm of historical research in Yan'an period,laid the keynote of the development of Marxist historiography in the field of Chinese historical research,and promoted the popularization of historical materialism in Chinese historical research.The third part summarizes the research focus and context of this paper,and affirms Fan Wenlan's great achievement.This paper investigates Fan Wenlan's achievements in historical research in Yan'an period and its influence and value on Chinese historical research.As the earliest historian in China who studied and interpreted Marxist historiography from the perspective of academic theory,Fan Wenlan has established his position in the field of Marxist historiography in China,and has pointed out many social developments in depth and breadth.The basic viewpoints are not out of date and still have important theoretical significance and academic value today.
