For a number of reasons, there have been few commentators on The Divination Sutra since its creation in the Sui Dynasts.Until the end of the Ming Dynasty,Ouyi Zhixu's Commentary on the Divination Sutra,The Sutra on the Mysteries of the Divination Sutra and Living the Divination Sutra, were the first systematic elucidations of the ideological connotations and practice methods of the work.In his commentary on this scripture,Master Ou Yi has established the Buddhist census as part of Buddhist monastic law,and has closely integrated it with the beliefs of the Dizang Bodhisattva, thus making it strictly distinguished from the divination of the world. This is a great contribution of Master Ou Yi to the history of Buddhism. This article is divided into five parts, the first part is the introduction, which is about the origin, significance and method of the reseach. It also incorporates a review of the literature and current research status. The second part expounds the life of Master Ou Yi and the numerology of the era in which he lived. The third part expands on the practice of Ouyi's Buddhist numerology in detail.Three aspects are discussed. The fourth part is the most inscribed part of the full text.It expands on the idea of the number in The Divination Sutra. The first section summarizes the outline of Master Ouyi's Buddhist thoughts. The second section discusses the outline of the system of numerology of The Divination Sutra. The principles of occupancy, the beliefs of Tibet, and the connotation of confession. The fifth part is the conclusion, which unifies the characteristics of Ouyi Zhixu's thoughts on divination in The Divination Sutra.
