Since the 1960s,the postmodern cultural trend and postmodern philosophy have emerged in the western academic circles. As a key figure in the postmodern trend,Jacques Derrida has been the subject of research and discussion by many scholars in the world. To some extent,Derrida's deconstructive semiotics theory is the theoretical basis of many academic schools in the postmodern cultural trend. In Of Grammatology,Derrida's semiotic thoughts and ideas are fully manifested.Derrida mainly criticizes the theoretical viewpoints of Rousseau and Levi-Strauss and points the criticism to the idea of dual opposition and metaphysical concept in the logocentrism on this basis, which has been immersed in the western philosophy circle for a long time. This is key issue we must be aware of.The first and second chapters mainly discuss the philosophical basis of Derrida's aesthetic views of semiotics and the specific contents of his criticism.Derrida's deconstructive thoughts originated from Course in General Linguistics of Saussure and Saussure's structuralist linguistics theory is one of the main sources of Derrida's semiotic thoughts. In Saussure's thought of "phonocentric",speech sign is the main factor that determines people's thinking, while writing sign is just a kind of representation of speech sign. This kind of symbol concept reflects the strong color of dual opposition.Because of this,Saussure is also one of Derrida's main objects of criticism. In addition, the phenomenological concepts of Husserl and Heidegger also deeply influenced Derrida. The relational thinking brought enlightenment to Derrida's deconstructive thinking mode.In Of Grammatology,Derrida mainly criticizes Rousseau's logical paradox and Strauss's structuralist anthropology,as well as the western traditional idea of binary opposition behind these theories.Derrida believed that it was logocentrism that inhibited the development of all disciplines in the western society in the 20th century and what he wanted to do was to overturn this traditional thinking mode and research method. The third chapter discusses the influence of Derrida's semiotic aesthetics and its concrete embodiment in real life and artistic practice. As one of the leaders of post-modernism,Derrida's deconstruction has influenced many schools of thoughts and researches, including feminism,post-colonialism and new historicism. The new thinking mode of deconstruction advocated by Derrida has become one of the most core theoretical research methods of these theories.Derrida's semiotic aesthetic thoughts also has many manifestations in social reality and artistic practice.Works of Chinese contemporary artist Xu Bing such as The Book from Sky and The Character of Chinese Characters contain a kind of strong aesthetic color of deconstruction semiotic theory.Apart from that,in the epidemic of Wuhan at the beginning of this year, the spirit of the text and characters encouraged people deeply. From this point of view, the power of words has been fully demonstrated. This can also confirm Derrida's critical concept of "literary violence".When we study Derrida's semiotic theory,we must firmly grasp his critical concept of the idea of dual opposition and metaphysics in"logocentrism".Only by grasping this core theme can we have a deeper understanding of Derrida's text.In this way, theoretical research can be carried out more smoothly.
