This translation practice text is selected from The LEAP Vision for Learning Outcomes,Practices,Impact,and Employers' Views.This text mainly expounds the liberal education and the American promise learning vision,specific operation and the influence of liberal education on students' future employment and American economic development.This text is an information functional text.The thesis will analyze and summarize the text from the lexical and syntactic levels under the guidance of Peter Newmark's Text Type Theory and Hans Vermrer's Skopos theory.The case analysis part mainly discusses how to determine the meaning of words according to the context,how to extend the meaning of words,and how to use the adjunctive and subtractive lexical methods.At the syntactic level,the paper mainly discusses the use of word order adjustment,division translation and joint translation.The translator hopes that this translation can not only have reference value in the translation of pedagogy texts,but also provide reference and guidance for professionals in liberal education.
