Yun Shouping's Research On The White Powder Technique Of Flower Painting

"White Powder" as a pigment is widely used in traditional Chinese painting.Among them,the flower and bird painting uses white powder technology is also very rich.However,at present,there is no research specifically on the white powder technique in the paintings of flowers and birds in the past.This paper mainly takes Yun Shouping's flower painting in the early Qing Dynasty as the research object,from sorting out the general inheritance vein used in the history of painting and drawing of white powder flowers and birds to paying attention to the characteristics of the white powder technique used by Yun Shouping.It is believed that the vivid use of white powder will often become the finishing touch.In the article,the author first compares and analyzes various common white powder paints such as clam powder,lead powder,titanium powder,etc.,and finds that different powders have their own performances,and the painting effects are different on different carriers.In the painting texture of silk and paper,the use of white powder can show various vivid effects under the subtle effect of color and water.Yun Shouping's use of white powder on flower paintings is based on this,and he has made innovations by studying and absorbing the powdering techniques used by predecessors in flower and bird paintings.Its innovations are mainly reflected in the classic powder painting techniques of Yun Shouping's flower paintings,such as "powder as a pen","chalk with grease,dot and dye" and "bumping powder method".Practice has a substantial impact.
