Abstraction In Feininger's Print Art

This paper analyzes the abstractness of feininger's artistic works by studying his prints.This paper demonstrates the abstractness of the artist's works from the aspects of his family,hobbies,study tour experience,friendship,artistic concept and world view.We know that in artistic creation,there are many different types of print art involved.If we can extract abstractions from feininger's works,it is of great help for us art students to understand abstract painting.Because the rational spirit contained in abstract painting is what we need to understand the complex world.Meanwhile,feininger's life experience and artistic process just satisfy my research on print art and abstract painting.In many ways,he is a master painter worthy of study.Both his teaching experience in Bauhaus and his dual nationality,as well as his ability to switch freely between different types of art,are worth studying.By studying the abstractions in his prints,we can have a comprehensive understanding of the printmaker,understand the cause of his abstractions,and explore the philosophy of simplicity behind his works.At present,there is little research on feininger,especially the abstractness in his works.It is hoped that this paper can provide reference for more art lovers who love printmaking and are interested in abstract painting,as well as enrich the academic data of feininger.
