With the development of the times and the deepening of the new curriculum reform,more and more teaching methods need to be improved.Situational teaching,with its unique advantages,is welcomed by the majority of teachers in recent years,and English subject is no exception.In English teaching,role-playing,oral dialogue and other commonly used teaching methods do add a lot of strength to the application of situational teaching,but the rapid development of information technology with its visualization,interactivity and other characteristics can provide better support for English situational teaching.For example,teachers can present the teaching content intuitively and cleverly through audio,video,pictures,animation and other ways,so as to create a relaxed and pleasant learning atmosphere for students,reduce students' fear of difficulties in English learning,and inject new vitality into English situational teaching.In addition,teachers' full and reasonable use of situational teaching supported by information technology will contribute to the improvement of junior high school students' core competence in English subject to a certain extent.However,through the practice,the author finds that the situational teaching is not fully implemented in the real English teaching process,and the role of information technology in the situational teaching supported by information technology is not appropriate,such as multimedia reduced to simple movement of teaching materials,exercises and so on.Therefore,the author wants to conduct in-depth research on the design and practice of junior English situational teaching supported by information technology.This study mainly uses literature research,questionnaire survey,interview and classroom observation.First of all,the author uses questionnaire and interview methods to investigate and interview teachers and students respectively,and analyzes and summarizes the current situation and problems of junior high school English teaching.On this basis,by analyzing the characteristics of junior high school English subject and the personality characteristics of junior high school students,this paper summarizes and puts forward the teaching design principles of junior high school English situational teaching under the support of information technology,constructs the junior high school English situational teaching mode under the support of information technology,and designs vocabulary teaching cases,grammar teaching cases and text teaching cases based on the situation.Through personal practice,the author applies the situational teaching design of junior high school English supported by information technology to the teaching,and designs and implements the teaching according to the teaching design process.The author uses SPSS22.0 and Excel toanalyze and compare the questionnaire data before and after teaching,and combines the interviews with teachers and students as well as the classroom observation in the teaching process.It is obvious that through the information technology support of junior high school English situational teaching practice,students' interest in English learning has greatly improved,the classroom atmosphere has also been more active than before,and students' classroom concentration has improved,the difficulty of learning English has been reduced on the whole.In addition,students' English learning ability and comprehensive quality of English discipline have been greatly improved.Finally,based on the experience of personal practice and the analysis of the application effect of teaching design,the author sums up and puts forward the matters that need to be paid attention to in the practical application of information technology supported English situational teaching in junior middle school,such as teachers should pay attention to the "quantity" of situations,help to achieve the teaching objectives,play the maximum role of multimedia as much as possible,and the situations supported by information technology should be reasonably combined with the scene situation such as role play.This study hopes to play a positive role in junior high school English teaching,improve students' enthusiasm for English learning,cultivate their ability to express and use English,and finally provide some reference for the teaching practice of front-line teachers.
