Research On Feng Menglong's "Taiping Guangji Notes"

Feng Menglong has worked hard throughout his life,and has made great achievements in novels,operas,folk songs and other fields.He holds the idea that unofficial histories can be useful to our society,he picked out the better stories from TaiPing GuangJi and carefully arranged,and the text content has been carefully examined and deleted,which has improved the narrative aesthetic value of the text.At the same time,he also attached a considerable number and quality of comments in the book.This paper mainly focuses on Feng Menglong's TaiPing GuangJi Chao,and then combines Cheng Ren's TaiPing GuangJi Xiangjie and Feng Menglong's other collections of classical novels to make a more in-depth study of TaiPing GuangJi Chao,and then explore its value.The full text consists of seven parts: introduction,five chapters and conclusion.The introduction explains the reason and meaning of this topic,and gives a brief overview of the current status and trends of academic research,thus demonstrating the significance and value of this article.The first chapter discusses the work of selection and codification from Taiping Guangji to Taiping Guangji Chao.First of all,in the adjustment of the categories,Feng Menglong merged and renamed the original categories.Based on the association between the categories and the structure of the whole book,the original categories were moved in order.He also used section notes and eyebrows to assist classification.Secondly,he carefully selected and changed the titles and citations of some articles.A lot of articles have been moved,split,merged,etc.His changes make it more reasonable and clearer than the original book.The second chapter explores Feng Menglong's deletion and modification of the text by comparing the text contents of Taiping Guangji and Taiping Guangji Chao in detail.He streamlined the text for the convenience of circulation,and rigorously examined and discriminated to reduce errors,and also focused on improving the aesthetic value of the story.His book is more attractive to readers,embodies his artistic talents and aesthetic thoughts.The third chapter analyzes the value of novel comments in Taiping Guangji Chao.In the process of commenting,Feng Menglong was both a reader,an editor,and a writer.The comments under the three identities reflect each other,which not only facilitate and communicate with readers,but also reflect Feng Menglong's personal ideas and interests.It is the first-hand valuable material for studying Feng Menglong's thoughts and has important theoretical criticism value.The fourth chapter compares Feng Menglong's Taiping Guangji Chao with Cheng Ren'sTaiPing GuangJi Xiangjie.First discuss the differences between the two books in external characteristics.Then on the basis of the previous research results,this paper takes several versions of Taiping Guangji as the reference object to explore the versions on which Feng Menglong based.Finally,by comparing the two books' selection of categories and articles,and proportions of various selected articles,this paper explores the influence of different eras,countries,and editors on the selection.The last chapter analyzes the unique status and value of Taiping Guangji Chao in combination with three collections of classical Chinese novels: Gujin Tangai,Zhinang and Qingshi.According to the same articles of these books,Taiping Guangji Chao should be the link between Taiping Guangji and Feng Menglong's other collections of classical novels.Then,from the two aspects of compilation and commentary,this paper discusses the common features of compilation of Feng Menglong's classical Chinese novels.The conclusion summarizes the compilation of Feng Menglong's Taiping Guangji Chao.He can guide literary editing activities with a unified novel theory,and he hopes to influence the current disadvantages through the review and dissemination of novels,and play a role in educating society.
