With the development and promotion of the concept of "Internet + education",the digital classroom has emerged as a new educational product and provided new ideas and methods for English situational teaching.The integration of the two parts also caters to pupils' thinking and cognitive characteristics,which can make up for the shortfall of traditional education,improve their interest in English learning and make the English classes more efficient.The digital classroom has been widely promoted in the process of educational informatization in various countries,which has resulted in a series of new related teaching theories and teaching modes.Situational teaching has a long history and is widely used in English teaching and forms mature theoretical and practical studies.This study pays attention to the English situational teaching in the digital classroom and tries to achieve the effect maximization.This study is discussed in the following five parts:First,the study gets the research overview of the digital classroom and the situational teaching by literature analysis and finishes the concept definition.Second,based on constructivist learning theory,humanistic learning theory,situational cognitive learning theory,and second language acquisition theory,the study does some research on the situational teaching in digital classroom with the help of questionnaire method and interviewing method,and analyzes the feasibility of situational English teaching in digital classroom in the three parts of education activity(educators,the being-educated and education impacts)to realize the integration of the digital classroom and the situational teaching of primary school English from informs,contents,characteristics and methods.Third,based on practical examples,the study discusses how to bring the superiority of information-based means in digital classroom such as cloud resources,medium information,interactive platforms,virtual learning tools,and intelligent system to create different kinds of situations including intuitive situations,problem situations,communication situations,activity situations and story situations and form the teaching process of situational English teaching in digital classroom called “Three stages and Five steps” which means before-class,in-class and after-class and five steps of the in-class process.Fourth,two integrated and representative teaching cases are introduced in the study using the existed teaching methods and process.Self-designed observation chart and multiple interaction observation soft are used in class to analyze the effects of case teaching to find problems and solve them,in which process the observation method in class and questionnaire method in students' learning attitude,performance in class and learning results.Last,the study makes the summary and prospects of English situational teaching in digital classrooms.The study tries to form a kind of referential and executable model in English situational teaching in the digital classroom,which can offer some operable comments and suggestions for teachers.At the same time,the study can also help English teachers in primary schools to operate English situational teaching better with the digital classroom and to improve the information literacy for teachers and the core competencies of English for students.
