The phoenix pattern on the bronzes of the Western Zhou Dynasty in Baoji area is of great significance in the history of the development of bronzes.This article traces the historical background of the Western Zhou Dynasty,explores how the Western Zhou people relocated to the Baoji Zhouyuan area,and the economic and political system of the time.It also sorts out the changes in the pattern of the bird pattern from the New Period to the Western Zhou Dynasty.The phoenix bird bronzes unearthed from Baoji area are sorted in this article.They are divided into two parts: cellar and tomb,and analyze important changes in the shape.Based on this,they analyze how the bird pattern in Baoji area changed during the Western Zhou Dynasty : From the change of the beak,the change of the bird’s body,the change of the tail to the change of the shape,the main characteristics of the phoenix pattern on the bronzes of the Western Zhou period in the early,middle,and late Western Zhou Dynasty were analyzed.And with reference to the standard instrument,the approximate age of some bronzes is clarified.
